Went to Dairy Queen for the buy one get one special 04/03/24 at 3:30 pm, employee was Nancy K. Ordered 2 large double fudge cookie dough blizzards, received two blizzards that had vanilla ice cream and some cookie dough in them. Proceeded to inform the workers that I had ordered double fudge cookie dough and they said they didn't know what that is, which wasn't mentioned at all when we ordered it. I calmly explained to them it is Chocolate chunk, cocoa fudge & cookie dough. I've ordered this very exact blizzard every time since it was introduced probably 10 years ago. The worker said they don't remake ice creams if you don't like them ? I told them it was never an issue of "not liking it" I literally told them it's not what I ordered. Manager came up also refused to remake it so we asked for a refund they said they do not do refunds. We took the ice creams and the receipt to a neighboring Dairy Queen who informed us they're not affiliated with the Port Orange Dairy Queen as far as ownership but they said they would help us out and remake the order to our specifications and were very nice. They had no issues making the ice cream and it was absolutely perfect. In exchange for the ridiculous attitude and outcome of the situation at the Dairy Queen in Port Orange, I'm now posting this review to let everyone know there are many Dairy Queens in the area that are pretty close to this one, I would recommend any of those. South Daytona DQ gets credit for correcting the issue....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was crazy ice cream I bought a strawberry blizzard and I wanted to sit down and relax and enjoy my blizzard. That lasted for about 10 minutes and then all these people came in the restaurants very small so it got really loud inside the restaurants nice and cold and relaxing when is not so loud. I had to go outside in the heat and my blizzard melted and I was overheated and no longer relaxed because of all the noise in the restaurant. Don't get me wrong the food's great and they have great customer service very happy very always have a smile on their faces their customers came in and made so much noise it was very uncomfortable to stay there. It's too small of a restaurant to have that many people in there. The customer's wanting to sit together and I was on the table and they were talking so loud that they make me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like I had to leave because they didn't want to be separated so I didn't have a place to stay on the inside where the AC was because the customers chased me out. And I had to go in the heat I will be going someplace else for my ice cream from now on that was not a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried this on opening day. Drive through had quite a few cars, also busy on the inside. However they were extremely well staffed and food and ice cream was served very quick and fresh. I hope you guys keep it up, thanks!!
*edit update- this restaurant has now been open several months. I have eaten here several times, I also deliver for several of the companies that offer delivery for Dairy Queen, and this restaurant still stands out as simply amazing. I donāt believe Iāve had one delivery where Iāve had to wait for an order, the order has either just gotten done, or theyāve already made it and placed it in the freezer for the delivery driver to arrive. Each time Iāve eaten here, itās always super fast, whether it be drive-through, eating in, or taking it home myself. So no matter which way you were choosing to eat from this dairy queen, they are spot on, and many fast food restaurants can learn a thing or two from this...
