This past Friday my wife and I along with two of our friends gathered for dinner at Chef Frank's Bistro. We were immediately greeted by Hostess Rachel who took us to our table. A short moment later our server came to our table and introduced herself and took our drink orders and described the evening specials. The atmosphere is intimate and the tables are dressed with white linen tablecloths along with a small vase of flowers. The menu choices ranged from pasta to seafood to steak. I chose the evening special, halibut. It was beautifully presented and was perfectly cooked with a brown crispy exterior and tender and moist on the inside. Everyone at our table enjoyed the dish they had ordered. The serving staff moved smoothly and were very coordinated, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and professional. I (we) would recommend this restaurant for your next dinner out night. Special thanks to Chef Frank (for his expert culinary skills)as well as our server, Ashley and Rachel who were very attentive. Read moreWe were WOWed by our first dining experience at Chef Frank’s Bistro last night! Our hostess was so charming and thoroughly engaging, whetting our appetite by her descriptions of the treat we were in for. She did not oversell it! The wait staff was engaging and knowledgeable. Their hospitality was so welcoming and relaxed. BUT the food?!?! Oh my goodness, the BEST I have had in several years at a Beaufort restaurant. Our entree of Fresh Catch Sheepshead with vegetable risotto was perfectly prepared. One of our table mates had the Berkshire Prime Porkchop and raved. We all cleaned our plates but still ordered from the extensive dessert menu to top off an outstanding meal. We will return often. Thank you so much Chef Frank and staff for the most delicious, delightful dining experience we have had in...
Read moreDinner at Chef Frank’s was exceptional — a refined dining experience right in the heart of Port Royal. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We started with the steak and cheese egg rolls, which were crisp and flavorful, followed by perfectly cooked entrées — braised short ribs over creamy grits and crab cakes with collards and red rice that captured Lowcountry comfort with an elevated twist.
The staff was attentive, the pacing perfect, and the wine pairing brought it all together. You can tell Chef Frank takes pride in both presentation and taste — each plate felt balanced and heartfelt.
This is the kind of restaurant that makes Port Royal shine — local, elegant, and full of flavor. Perfect for date night or a relaxed evening of fine dining...
