I was very excited to try this new restaurant. I walked in to order take out. Upon walking in the gentleman behind the counter started speaking in Spanish to me. I was Confused. He asked if I spoke Spanish, I said no. He then told me that I can Only order if I spoke Spanish, to go down and order from McDonald’s instead. I was very flustered and embarrassed and tried to remain kind. He said he was just joking. So okay, bad joke. He tried to be kind after that. I placed an order for a chicken and steak street taco and a quesadilla. I asked for a can of coke. The gentleman recommended I try One of their signature drinks. It was delicious, but I still asked for a can of coke. Got a glass bottle instead, even though I could See the cans behind the counter.
The shop was very well decorated and clean. Easy to access.
Food didn’t travel too well for a ten minute drive. It would be better to dine in and eat fresh I suppose. It was still tasty, just cold.
I was so embarrassed by the joke that I fought back tears on my drive home. I grew up shamed for not being Latina enough by my own family. I wouldn’t go back. Place has a lot of...
Read moreI’ve driven by this place a hundred times, but in this beautiful Spring Saturday, decided to stop in and sample their food. Wow! This place is killing it- the food was outstanding, the decor is a chill vibe, and the staff went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. Will definitely be back many times in the future! The drive through will come in handy for take out.
The food- we got a pizza birria and a Texas burrito. The meat was well seasoned and tender, and the pizza was adorned with ample cilantro, cheese (cotija??) and white sauce. But the consume was the star- full of rich flavor and chunky with onions, tomatoes and meat. The burrito was filled full of rice, meat and cheeses, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla- probably the best burrito I’ve had in Beaufort. Also recommend the queso with chorizo and their homemaker tortilla chips.
Don’t drive down Ribaut Road in Port Royal without stopping at Pedro’s! You won’t be disappointed.
PLENTY of parking made it easy to get in and out of, even on a busy...
Read moreCouple of things to note. The drive thru seams to be the priority so if you want quicker service go to the drive thru rather than inside. Inside the building is hot. Uncomfortably hot to the point I was sweating waiting for my food. The fake plants on the walls are meant to be decorative but I couldn’t help but think how dusty and dirty they are and unable to be cleaned. I ordered the breakfast burrito with no beans and no rice (so just meat eggs cheese and guac) and what I received was a burrito it’s just meat rice guac. Not sure if they gave me the wrong burrito or just didn’t listen when I ordered but I was pretty sad to see my order was wrong after we’d taken it to go. The side of French fries were good but were completely cold like they’d been out for hours. The food tasted good overall but was very underwhelmed by the entire experience. Will...
