My family has been supporting Saint Lucie Bakery since they opened Thais doors in the original location from wedding cakes to birthday cakes and cookies at Christmas time . I have always called ahead to order cakes in the past now I’m informed they no longer do that because they have no room ok I get it now today my daughter Bella turns 14 years old and she has a request a cannoli cake so I’m a little hesitant to come all the way from Fort Pierce to buy a cannoli cake but I make the trip I did purchase on for the small cost of $48.00 I’m willing to pay for quality but what really upsets me is the no longer will put her name on top of the cake they give you a little plastic happy birthday to stick on the cake 🥲 I’m sad to say your bakery has lost it’s small town feeling we are accustomed to. I get it Port Saint Lucie is growing every day and you probably have more then enough business that you can handle and that’s great for you . All I wanted was my daughters name on top of the cake but that is no longer being done I’m told . I could have easily went to Publix and purchased a birthday cake for under $ 30.00 and they would have put her name on it with a smile on their face . I’m just upset because I’m a dad trying to for fill my daughter birthday request and I assure you it’s not about the money it’s about the lousy service that followed. Please rethink how you can bring your small town feeling back again putting a name on top of a birthday is truly not a hard...
Read moreWe got the chocolate chip cookies, a peanut butter chocolate chip muffin, a chocolate crumb cake and a raspberry crumb cake. My husband had heard good reviews so we gave them a try.... Very disappointed.
Positives: the bakery was well lit and very cute in the inside. Had a large variety of different cookies, cakes, muffins, tarts, etc. Everything was very pretty and decorated nicely. Like something from a television ad. Staff was friendly and helpful offering very good service.
Negatives: the cookies tasted like it had been frozen and then defrosted again. And it wasn't a traditional chocolate chip cookies but more like a dollar store cookie...or maybe a cheaper short bread cookie with fake chocolate chips on top.... Like a cheap oily chocolate.... The crumb cake had a tasty crumble on top, but again the actual cake tasted like it had been frozen. And it tasted like a cheap win Dixie cake with crumble added to the top .. Not Great. The muffin was decent I suppose, but only because the other items were so much worse. It was a cheap cake, but it had a peanut butter whipped frosting on top and peanut butter chips. So that was the only thing that we were able to eat. Everything else ended up being trashed.... Not edible.but on the upside.we got all of these items (6cookies, 1 muffin, 2squares of crumbcake) for only 14 dollars so......
Read moreI've been going to this bakery when they're at the old location for so many years I can't even remember how long I spent over $70 but of cookies and rice balls I why aren't they any other almonds cookies and a few others and she said they're too expensive to put in the in the pre-made container and all the cookies we had looked like little cakes and you know they're very heavy after spend it so much money I was surprised that they only used low-grade cookies in pre-orders I am from Sicily and I love rangini rice balls and I must admit they are not that good now at the other location they mixed all the cookies don't know why they changed I know they're trying to cut cost but they're making a big mistake treating customers like that the staff was awesome but I'm more concerned about their product I hope they spend more time to perfect it and to put some good cookies on the pre-orders I also want to this bakery to do well there's not many Italian bakeries around add a few extra cookies of the better quality I'm going to bring her a real rice ball cuz they are very nice people just take a little bit more time and put themselves in the customers shoes but they have quite a few great items in their bakery I've been going there for a long time and I want them to stay open for...
