The Merara Tiki Lounge — Restaurant in Portage Township

Our visit was a last minute date night opportunity when we realized we were suddenly kid free for the night. Both my husband and I had been wanting to try this place out for awhile, and I’m so happy we did! Our bartender was Ashley, and she was phenomenal! She was so friendly and laidback. The drinks were superb (some of which she created herself for the menu). And I loved that the drink cups were even themed with the drink names. We ordered the Bikini Wax (served in a high heel shoe), Mai Tai, and Zombie (served in a skeleton type tiki mug). One drink was so strong (which I was warned of in advance), that I’m pretty sure I screwed the math up on her tip when we went to pay. I’ve got you next time, girl! 💗 Thd food was super yummy as well. We ordered chicken skewers and jalepeno poppers. We had such an amazing experience here. It’s a nice change to have an adults only atmosphere where we were launched into a fun tiki themed environment....

What a hidden gem !!! We came across this place accidentally, it's inconspicuously located in a strip mall, but once we found it we couldn't be happier. Completely cool atmosphere with good vibes, the decorating is awesome and staff was great. Our bartender Cory was friendly, helpful and made incredible drinks. This place is a must if your looking for some fantastic cocktails in a relaxing...

Amazing atmosphere with delicious, delightful plates of food. The tuna poke nachos are amazing! The drinks are on point...not so strong you can't enjoy them, but perfectly balanced and creative. Cory and Lori were our bartenders, and they were so amazing!! I had the Mai Tai and the Pussers Painkeller, and both were AMAZING! Live music on Thursdays too! Unique decor and comfortable...
