Absolutely HORRIBLE and UNSANITARY customer service. I encourage everyone reading this to BEWARE. YOU WILL RUIN YOUR APPETITE SOLELY AT THE FACT THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD. I have been a resident of the Porter county area for over 4 years and recently discovered Andy's Red Hots as of a few months ago. From the very first time my husband and I encountered the older gentlemen that runs orders in front, we have had very unsettling and displeasing experiences. He is very rude and unsanitary, and he doesn't like when you make adjustments to your meal. He doesn't wash his hands in between handling cash orders and cooking the food, and is very rude when working under pressure. On very rare occasions, there are amazing cooks in the back of the establishment that makes the food fresh to order with no issues. However, usually when the workers aren't there, the older man is the only one working and his attitude always shows that he doesn't want to be there. My experience with him today was worst. First of all I ordered a gyro dog, and there were about 3 customers ahead of me. When I received my order, I only got a hotdog with tomatoes on it. After requesting to get the gyro meat on the dog, the older man just rudely snatched my order (after touching the cash register) and then carelessly added gyro meat to the stove and then on the hotdog without washing his hands. (AND YES, HE TOUCHED THE MEAT ON THE STOVE WITH HIS DIRTY BARE HANDS WITHOUT USING UTENSILS) when I kindly tried to notified him of his error, he got extremely mad and yelled at me, and then just took the hotdog out of my hands and gave me cash back for my order. I was in disbelief on how cruel and rude he was about the whole situation. It's sad to see people like this man that take advantage of patient customers by giving unsanitary and rude services to people that are helping to help keep the establishment open. Because of this, I will never attend again and I will be contacting BBB of northwest Indiana along with the Indiana Food Protection Division as soon as possible to alert them of the unsanitary and rude services that are being offered at this...

If youre not friends or family....STAY AWAY. Today was the worse customer service and most incompetent service. When we come in we always spend $40 and up to feed the house. Service and food has been going downhill but today was the icing. We ordered and then we watched customers who came after us (and i mean 5-10 minutes later) get their orders...while ours where placed on hold for them. Finally got our food and got home. ALL of our sandwiches and hot dogs were plain. Now...you could really taste the "bought in grocery store frozen food section" taste of the meat. All the bread was soggy as where the fries and the meat was dry and nasty. As I said, if you arent their friends and family that come in for food....take your money elsewhere. After tasting the hotdog AND hamburger meat PLAIN....just make it at home. Itll taste better, be cheaper and made correct. 3 years ago this place was great. Wow all the negative reviews are very accurate. This man was awful. Ordered a gyro plate the other day. He took the order and then walked away. The girl cooking looked confused and stood there for a few, eventually she said something to him, apparently she doesnt know how to cut the gyro meat, he then tells her he didnt know there was an order for a gyro plate. Very rudely to her. Um yea I just ordered it and he took the order so I intervened because the poor girl looked like she was going to cry and told him I ordered one and he took the order. He huffed and puffed and walked away still not making the gyro. This poor girl in the back looked like she wanted to run away. She again said something to him he grumbled something to her and started making it. He should NOT be working that counter and he definitely should be more polite to his employees. First time I've been there and I will never go back. I hope that poor girl finds...
