UPDATE: Unless I'm completely unable to re-review a place, I like to try to give 'em another shot. Tried them again today, 2.2.24, and let me tell you they completely redeemed themselves. Chips are crispy, bowl amount is perfect and flavor is outstanding. Good job, Chipotle. It was cheaper than your competitor, easier to get to, and food was much improved from last week. I'll be back. LM.
Have been a QDoba person, thought I'd try Chipotle. The bowl was ok, but the amount was smaller than their competitor. The black beans were dry. They were almost crunchy, in a way. The worst part was the chips. Absolutely, 99% completely stale. TWO chips had crunch, the rest were able to be folded in half and were chewy. "Why didn't you take them back?" I kinda took it to go and wasn't really able to leave work after experiencing the chips.
If I can do anything to persuade you to go somewhere else until they get their act together, I encourage you to try somewhere else until they get their chip situation sorted.
Edit: I decided I couldn't let it sit. Took the chips/bowl back and explained to the manager they weren't properly done. Apparently there was a new person that started that day and the chips weren't stale, they were all just under cooked. Understandable...and makes me happier they weren't stale, however, I do question them training a new person on chip duty and then not tasting them for QC? I did not ask for a refund because, in my famishment, I ate 90% of what I had until I decided I couldn't do it any longer. If I had eaten less than 50%, perhaps a refund may have been in order, but I did not. I only want them to be aware of the issue and to fix it for their...
Read moreOrdered a chicken bowl. Asked for some pico and hot sauce. They put a TON of hot sauce on it, (more than rice or any other item) to which the bowl was drowning in it. And Chipotle's hot sauce certainly has some kick. But it was completely overpowering and ruining the bowl when I ate two...maybe three bites before shunning it.
I took the bowl to the counter and asked if they could remake it. A line worker, who wasn't the original one who helped me, grabbed the old one and aggressively threw it away and then hastily and angrily hurried me back through.
Then, he was uttering under his breath it was my fault I ordered hot sauce. I did order hot sauce. But not to have so much to ruin my meal, or cause internal issues. Lol.
I asked him to speak up and told him I didn't appreciate his comments and just want to enjoy my dinner. He then elevated the argument in front of the whole restaurant and said, "Congratulations you got your free burrito". ---I never got anything free. Paid for it and just asked for a remake.
He then dismissed me from the store and proceeded to complain about it to the customers in line after I left. I know because someone from the group I was with that evening was in the line, texted me four minutes later. I'm writing this review only 15 minutes after the whole thing.
I am just disappointed that I hadn't been into Chipotle in a while. I have to pass a Qdoba to do so. The second bowl they made was ok. All I asked for was a remake. It didn't have to be a problem.
UPDATE: After reading other reviews, it seems this place is going downhill very quickly as all the reviews recently are 1 star or...
Read moreIf I could give this chipotle 0 stars I would. I ordered a burrito bowl with brown rice. The rice was extremely crunchy yes I know brown rice isn’t as soft as white rice but it isn’t supposed to extremely crunchy like you’re eating chips crunchy. The worker very rudely told me it wasn’t undercooked because she followed what the package said and that's just how it was and I told her again it tasted undercooked and had them make up a new bowl with white rice instead. As the worker made a new bowl she said she could Not add the guacamole on the bowl even tho my initial bowl had guacamole that I paid for so I told her that was okay I’d transfer the guacamole from the initial bowl to the new bowl. Another worker yelling at me in the back telling me I couldn’t keep both bowls if I was complaining saying you can’t take that with you when the other employee proceeded to tell her I told her I didn’t put new guac on there so she’s just transferring the guacamole to the new bowl which is totally my right considering I paid for guacamole ! They do not put their customers first at all and they are disgustingly rude to their customers and raise their voices to paying customers! People need to learn if you’re working in food industry the customer is always right and in turn they should made a new bowl for me without the attitude and without the yelling at me when I was entirely nice and calm not raising my voice at all. Absolutely rude I will never return here not even if the food was free !
I AM HIGHLY CONSIDERING CONTACTING AND REPORTING TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREA AS UNDERCOOKED RICE CAN STILL CAUSE FOOD POISONING AND...
