We ordered Pizza Margherita last Saturday since I was craving for my favorite pizza. I've read about Franco's in an FB group page and it has many very good reviews. Because their only dine-in option is al fresco dining on the side of the street we decided to just order take home. It was delivered to us while we waited in our vehicle at the parking lot. When we got home this is what we got. It was unappealing and unappetizing. There is barely any basil leaf and mozzarella. It's pathetic since fresh basil is abundant and cheap during summer. What's more is they used regular crust instead of thin crust as stated in the menu. I had to fix this by adding fresh basil leaves from my own herb garden and drizzled more Italian extra virgin olive oil. It's unfortunate that I ran out of mozzarella otherwise I would have added more, too.

I saw the deal for two slices and a drink on someone else's Google review, so I stopped in because I was in the area. Great customer service. The guys working were friendly and wasted no time. Slices were out in just a few minutes. They were a bit on the small side. The size of both combined is what I was expecting for one. But they were definitely of quality. Got one sausage and one pep. Undercarriage was really nice w little bit of char, very nice. Cheese and sauce also very nice. Photos may not be great, but trust me--decent slices So, size not great, but good stuff.

Finding a calzone spot with top-notch taste and stellar service is like striking gold in the world of folded, cheesy, Italian sausage goodness, but this place nails it! Used to be my go-to spot while attending Western, but after moving out of state, I had to make a pit stop while passing through. The staff treat you great. Trust me, you’ll want to dive into this calzone paradise and never look back!

Like to buy local, tried twice. First time ordered two 20” pizzas with toppings, $80, get home and one of the pizzas didn’t have two of the toppings. Call up, confirm my order had the toppings (ie was paid for) and get told “we’ll remake it now”, I didn’t want to go out again in 30 minutes so was told they’d take my name and number. Last night called up … they couldn’t find a note about it but I was told they’d take would take care of it, so I ordered two (one to be comped, the other to pay for), told ready in 30. Get there in 30, and so far so good, one pizza will be comped, so I leave a $24 tip (to cover more than half the cost of the comped pizza). 15 minutes later owner(?) comes out to say it will be later, and over 1 hour after I ordered he gives us the pizzas, confirming that they weren’t started until after we’d arrived to pick them up. I get home and the comped pizza was again missing the toppings I ordered. Called back and was put on hold. Gave up after 5 minutes on hold. While the pizza tasted great, if I can’t get the toppings I ordered, twice, I’ll have to look elsewhere. I hope others have a...

I have been to all the pizza places in Portage ... the quality, service and value have gone drastically down at the most touted establishments. I tried Franco's a couple of weeks ago, and it is now our exclusive pizzeria. The ingredients are fresh, it is well made, tastes fantastic, and offers a far better value for the money than Mancino's or Erbelli's honestly. I have been really disappointed with the service and quality of every other pizza place in the area, and was quite depressed ( we love pizza ). Franco's is out of my normal route, and a bit obscured from the main streets, but well worth the finding. The inside is quite small, and not all that accommodating if you seek comfortable, and athletically pleasing dining ... but it's a small pizza place, it is adequately clean and serviceable. The staff are FRENDLY, helpful and accommodating to your preferences. 4 1/2...
