Wendy's — Restaurant in Portage

Worst experience I have EVER HAD in ALL my YEAR'S of eating fast food...not only my experience but my son as well!!! Employees arguing and using profanity LOUDLY within the location. I approached and asked the gentleman/employee very politely...not to use that type of language in front of my child...he starts to curse me out and threatens me. Now of course we exchange word's...I walk off and tell my son we are leaving! My son and I walk out to my vehicle leaving the property...the employee starts to rapidly approach with a long coat and bag with his hands in his pockets..HOLLERING..."come here man let me talk to you"!!!...I had to rush my son in the car..have him start it...security team alerted..AND DRAW A WEAPON ON THE EMPLOYEE IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE RESTAURANT. All I'm gonna say at this point is that....had my son not been there...that situation would have been totalled different. This will not be the end of this...its bad when you can't even take your family to a restaurant for a bite to eat after making preparations for a funeral... I should even be able to give this place 1 start. I take that back!!! Let me tell you a story all about how my life got flipped turned upside down and Id like to take a minute, just sit right there, Ill tell you why Ill never return to this Wendys. In West Kalamazoo, born and raised, had Wendys very rarely, but I wasnt dazed. Chillin, Maxin, Relaxing, all cool, when I decided I wanted Wendys but I wasnt no fool. We pulled in the drive thru, waited to order, waited for an hour or so, felt like I was loitering. Couldnt leave because there was a curb, pulled about to the speaker, I wasnt rude. Ordered a burger, they rang it up as the combo, but I was broke, I just wanted a burger. Corrected their mistake, moved onto the salad, once again rang it up as a combo but the driver pulled away before I could correct her. Spent more money than I wouldve liked to, but I didnt fret cause I wasnt no fool. Waited for my food and it took forever, thought to myself "Wow this burger should be better". Got my food after a while or so and it tasted like it had been sititing out an hour or so. Pretty nasty and pretty krabby. I cant understand why they choose to hold up the drive thru, so they can give you aged meat, pretty sure most people would prefer non aged meat in a...

I'm just at a loss. I came inside during running errands this winter and the entrance to the store was soaking wet WITH puddles. It wasn't busy at all. The floor on front of the cashiers was so very dirty and ALSO wet. There were several cashiers doing nothing. The one that ended up waiting on me, was playing on her phone... I'm serious. When I walked up, she finished whatever it was, THEN asked what I wanted. "Watcha want?" and when I started telling her, she grabbed her phone, (looking at a reply she received from the DING I heard) and punched in part of my order. Asked me to repeat part of it. I was so taken aback about how someone can get paid to play on their phone, so didn't start recording. I should have. While waiting, several of them were still just standing around while the floor was dangerously wet. The soda area was pretty bad and the lobby was so bad i didn't want to sit down. So I left. After a bit, I wondered.... If they don't keep the front area clean, why would they even worry about how clean and safe he good prep area was.
