SMASHWAY BURGERS — Restaurant in Porterville

We took food to go. They were very nice to my wife I sent in to pick it up. While she hung out they offered her an ice cream for a Honest review. (they get 2)The ice cream itself was so good I almost went right back to get another one. Now the food. The burger has Alot of promise but I don't like cheese and it was covered in cheese which was not on them next time I'll order no cheese.if I were them I'd try to figure out a way to absorb some more of the grease from the burger cause it ruins the bun and locks in the heat cooking the Pickles making them hard to eat. (pastrami burger) the pastrami was less than expected but served the purpose and taste was promising. The chilli cheese fries which I expected grated cheese a bit on top of a bunch of chili but it was sweet nacho cheese, with sweet grilled onion, on top of a chili that just didn't stand a chance against the sweetness. The fries held up ok seasoned breaded fries you sorta expect out of a frozen section. If they would rebalance the cheese to chili ratio I'd be more tempted to try it again.I will definitely try this place again using the info I know now to change my order to hopefully find a mix that makes me come back over and over again not just for the...

I went there because the food videos I had seen look really good. The food was delicious, I will admit. I got home and saw the onion ring container with only six onion rings, which cost $6.99 ( I got robbed) I also observed one of the cooks (wearing back gloves) leave the room and go somewhere in the back. When he returned I observed him touching everything outside that kitchen while wearing his gloves, and upon returning he never changed the gloves, but continued using the same ones. I tried this place for the first time and I have to compliment them greatly for providing fresh, high quality ingredients as well as a crafty technique for the cooking process itself. A pleasant char on the outside while being juicy and flavorful on the inside. I even had to give it a resting period before I could continue eating as it was practically served right off the grill.
