My husband and I were visiting Portland for the weekend and got recommendations from locals to hit up this spot. We were not disappointed! I don’t know how they don’t have a higher rating as the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and gave great recommendations and helpful tips, as well as being very giving and kind. Sadly, we did not get the name of the employee who helped us, but he was awesome blonde haired guy! They have a really cool vibe throughout the place and the music they played was from the early 2000s and as 90s babies, my husband and I loved it. They even offer a variety of different honeys and hot sauces to try with your pizza, which we thought was super unique and cool. The honey was delicious and was of a local variety. They also have a bunch of different board games, card games, and trivia, which we did not get the chance to use, but would be fun to use after eating there or waiting for your food with friends and/or family. They also have really cool merch at extremely affordable prices. We picked up a blind onion tote bag while we were there, which definitely came in handy throughout our visit. We just got their slice comb (we had classic pepperoni and cheese, which was huge and so yum!) as well as their cheesy garlic breadsticks, as we were there during happy hour, which were also super good. Well in all, definitely stop here whether you are a local or a tourist, like us, you won’t be disappointed!!! Thanks,...
Read moreFor such a comfortable place I truly have had one of the most horrific experiences in my life. A month prior to this I ate there and found the pizza to be very dissatisfying. Yet the ambiance and the supposed consideration of the employees kept me coming back for an occasional beer and a few dollars of slot machine fun. I had an incident with their neighbor business and this truly showed the blind onions employees true colors. They believed their neighbors lie and have since been rude, racist and thieves. I was playing a slot machine while phone was dying , I plugged it in to a discreet outlet behind the machine. They refuse to return it. I grew up in this city and latey have become embarrassed to call it home for reasons like this. My side of the story was not allowed to be told and the pizza manager even went to qfc grocery to tell them the lie from their neighbors. They are biggots with sub-par food. I highly recommend NYSF pizza on...
Read moreSimple, charming, and unassuming, Blind Onion Pizza was a lovely spot to grab a small veggie pizza (among their many options) that I would recommend to any visitor to Portland in the vicinity.
I would like to highlight the geniality of my host at the pub section of the restaurant and his dutifulness in serving me, attending to my needs without overstepping into being a nuisance.
The pizza is pretty good and obviously well-crafted. For those loyal to any specific style, they might be disappointed by the very broad, accessible take on pizza here but the end result should be enjoyable to all. The crust was certainly the standout part of the pie and was...
