Wedgehead — Restaurant in Portland

Stopped by for the day to have something to do before my late night flight. Found this place to be really great. Lots of pinball machines. Many eras of machines from extremely vintage (mechanical scoreboard) up to newer stuff from Stern (Godzilla). Another cool thing was they had at least 3 machines from the Williams Pinball iOS/Android game. I've played at least 50-60 hours on this game, so it was really cool to be able to play the physical machines that I've played so much digitally.

I did not have food while I was here, but other reviewers have left positive comments on the food and the place was clean. They had both cheap beers and quality craft brews.

I've seen a few types of these "free play" arcades where you pay a flat fee with everything set to free play. I think this is a much better approach to arcades. I'm pretty sure in less than 2 hours you could break even on what you would pay to play if they were $0.50-$1 per play. So I feel there unlimited play cost is incredibly fair. The friendliest staff in town. The drink selection is incredible and they are always mixing it up with new cocktails on a weekly basis. Bery clean tap lines. The burgers are delicious and pretty big, though they often get outshined by their chicken sandwiches. The best food on the menu is the chili that you get with the chili cheese fries (and I think the double decker tacos?) but everything on their menu is worth trying. I could drink the tahini dipping sauce that comes with the vegan nuggets.

Also c’mon the pinball rules. The games are in top working condition and they even have their own hotline for you to report if a game has a problem that needs fixing.
