I used to live within walking distance but I still drive here from across town cause they always get 3 things right. In my opinion pizza must have crust with some crunch, and not be too doughy or thick, delicious sauce and enough of it, enough cheese that you don't need to order extra. Most Portland places fail the sauce AND cheese if not all 3, but Bridge City nail all 3 every time.

For the prices most places leave me unimpressed if not still hungry... but I split mediums from here with my wife and there is always enough leftover for a good lunch for both of us the next day too.

10 years later, I still always get well sauced pizza with enough toppings and big enough to eat for days, and I think they're delicious too, and as for service... it's a pick up joint. How much service do you need? Hand me a hot tasty pizza on time and I'm happy, and from here I always have been.

They've never messed up the timing or my order... in 10 years... so... I don't know where all those horror stories come from... maybe don't have your phone on speaker, and order well in advance on the weekend... common sense. .

Portland's been filling with whiny transplants who want everything gluten free and artisan with cbd on top.... f×××... just gimme a large delicious well sauced cheese slathered pizza... good toppings... etc.. I don't need my a×× kissed on the way out.

Bridge City is THE...

I spent several hours one night trying to plan where I was going to eat after my bodybuilding competition in Vancouver, WA. I knew I wanted pizza because I hadn't had any in nearly 6 months because of my strict diet. I can across Bridge City Pizza in my search and saw they had Chicago-style pizza. I'm from New Mexico and haven't ever had Chicago-style pizza and it was a photo from a review of their stuffed pizza that made me choose them for my post-show dinner. We ordered a stuffed pizza, a large flat pizza, mozzarella sticks, a 1lb of fries, antipasto, and I even ordered a cheeseburger. While we were waiting for our food, a local told us we could take the pizza (since you can't eat at the pizza place) across the street to Proper Pint Taproom and eat there and get drinks. So we did that and I demolished this pizza. It was the BEST pizza I have ever had in my life! The stuffed pizza was so thick but I could still eat it with my hands. I will come back here every time I visit Portland even if it's to get pizza that I'll save and reheat later! (Also I was surprisingly NOT sick after devouring more pizza than...

This place is the “food provider” for the Proper Pint across the street, and while the pizza is super yummy, the service is unacceptable. I’ve ordered breadsticks on 3 different occasions to get delivered to the Proper Pint (just across the street) and every time it took over an hour and a half to get my food. For crying out loud, I could go to the store, buy a pizza, drive home and bake it, and be back at the proper pint 40 minutes before the breadsticks from bridge city pizza ever arrived. What a joke! The tall guy who delivers the food is really nice but also definitely super baked every time, which totally floors me. I hustle super hard every day at work and don’t make a ton over minimum wage, and to see this guy bring my breadsticks in after an hour and a half while super high just really chaps my hide. If I ever showed up to work high I would get fired. I work in service and normally don’t leave one star reviews, but after meeting the same problems 3 times in a row I think it’s pretty fair to say this is a normal representation of how the...

I've tried all the Italian beef sandwiches in Portland and Bridge City has my #1 favorite. The beef is tender, but has a little chew. The joos is peppery in that way it is supposed to be. The peppers, both sweet & hot, were excellently made and presented. I like that they charge extra for cheese, because this practice should be discouraged. Cheese does not go on Italian beef. I will fight you. I would be happy with this sandwich if I got it in the neighborhood I grew up in on the south side of Chicago. I look forward to getting their pizza. I doubt I will have to tell them how to cut it like all the other trash pizza places we've suffered with on the west coast. I also like that they support their local little league. Chatting with the owner, he's actually from Chicago too. Unlike the rest of the chumps selling "Chicago" food in this town.

I was looking forward to trying Bridge City because it was recommended by foodie, Bill Oakley as his favorite Chicago style pizza. We thought it was mediocre and rattle off almost a dozen pizza joints that are better. I don't get how this is supposed to be Chicago style. It's nothing like pizza I've had in the windy city. FYI: It's a take out only place. Check out my profile for more great eateries and cocktail bars.
