I’m a local here too. I needed a place to study, so I came here.
In hindsight, I should’ve seen the sign that said no WiFi was provided. That’s on me for looking too late after paying the coffee and croissant.
Even still, I was not impressed by the matcha latte I ordered. It was okay at best. The baristas are friendly and really it’s the products and service provided that I’m not satisfied with.
Especially with the croissant I ordered. It was a temperature room chocolate croissant; the texture was too stiff for me to fully enjoy, and the lack of a toaster oven really not made me enjoy the croissant. The baristas informed there was no toaster oven, but even through my disappointment, I still paid my food and drink with a tip.
I don’t think this place is for me, but for others who want to enjoy a more one-to-one conversation with friends, maybe this place is worth checking out. Atmosphere is more for the outgoing, and I quickly learned it wasn’t for me. Left the shop less...
Read moreExtremely expensive and prices in-store are higher than what their website menu for the Woodstock location would have you believe; so that's misleading.
$3.50 (+ tip) for a cup of drip coffee and another $2 (+ tip) for a refill.
The food is mediocre at best but costs the moon for the smallest portions I've seen in a Portland cafe so far.
I got the "sandwich sliced tabor river bread egg & cheese" which on their site is listed at $7.50 but in-store it was $9.50. The only add-on option in-store was bacon for $4, not $3. So in total I paid $13.50 (before tip) and what I got was a single piece of bread as an open-faced sandwich. It was extremely small and had essentially 1 piece of bacon sliced in half on it. It tasted okay, but for $13.50 you can get a full breakfast and free coffee refills just a block...
Read moreThis is a relatively new place on Woodstock. I waa happy yp see one more coffee place on the Blvd.I am giving it a 1 star due to their "come and don't stay" policy - or culture.There-s a few tables on the left side a nice, polished outside seating, and a cashier with a wonderful smile. But people here..specially if you move to the righ, they don't look that comfortable working on these huge blocks of wood propped as both tables and knee-high chairs. .Contemporary design may look good but it may noy be the best to send those few e-mails or write this review. One more thing-The nice smile hands you your first cup of brew for $3.25 (plus tip!) but if you are a two cup person, -like me- You can get each for...
