BEST PIZZA NOT JUST IN PORTLAND, BUT IN OREGON (so far)!

As a transplant from the Northeast, I’ve been hard-pressed to find a solid pizza place since moving to Oregon. I’ve tried the best-reviewed places in Salem, Corvallis, and Eugene, and none have had the thin (but excellent, deeply flavorful, perfectly doughy) crust that I’m used to, nor the right balance of sauce to cheese and high-quality toppings.

Bull Run Pizza more than surpassed my expectations of what constitutes a solid slice of NY-style-adjacent pizza with their excellent crust and sauce, creative toppings, and no frills atmosphere. There are more expensive “gourmet” pizzas in Portland that do much less for much more money, and where it feels like you’re paying for frills and “ambiance” rather than the product. Bull Run Pizza is just down to business, and all about delivering exceptional pizza without the pomp and unnecessary expense of similar Portland pizza institutions. With that said, we loved the outdoor seating at Bull Run’s and how well stocked they were with accoutrements: red pepper flakes, a variety of hot sauces, the made-in-house ranch… whatever one could desire to add to pizza, they had it!

The Benji is excellent, and we also loved the special pizza with jalapeños and pineapple. We can’t wait to go back and try the other menu items! This place will likely become a must-stop every time we come back to Portland. Keep up...

This place is hard to beat and has been one of my top pizza spots in Portland. You can have individual slices or a whole pie (two size options). I’ve gotten pizza to go and also sat for dine-in and the quality is consistent! There is a small bar to sit at for beer on draft to go with your pizza and some other indoor/outdoor seating options. The pizza is perfectly crispy and chewy. Their pepperoni pizza is delicious and has the smaller pepperonis which makes for a good ratio of pepperonis to pizza. This time, I split a 12in bruscular pizza between 2. The light white sauce went perfectly with the mushrooms and Brussel sprouts! I would try with bacon next time but on its own, it was perfectly delicious. I could explain in great detail but Bull Run is definitely a place you just have to experience for yourself whether it’s take...

My husband and I have tried 8 pizza places so far since moving here a year ago, and Bull Run took the 2nd place (maybe tied for 1st?) spot on our first visit last night. We tried the Benji with sausage, and the Locals Only. Both were fantastic. The ingredients are obviously high quality, and the crust is the perfect texture and flavor. We also got the onion ranch and the fancy sauce, which were both tasty, but I found myself not really wanting either because the pizza is just too good without it. Cold beers and friendly service, too. After repeating several places, we recently decided we need to branch out even more and try a new place every week, but I don't know how we'll resist just going here again next Friday. Don't be suspicious of all the 5 star reviews. It's...

One of my favorite pizza places ever, honestly. Thin crust, nice crispy edges, slightly blacken bottom, quality cheese (they sprinkle parmesan on top right before boxing up), and the small crispy pepperoni make it the best. Definitely recommend trying and the single slice thick crust is NOT a deep fry deep dish, they just proved it longer so it's air-y. Worth trying, but both are great! Inside the restaurant could be a bit more enticing to sit in, but outside has a few picnic benches! And plus, the staff are really nice and chill. They seem to be having a good time. Sorry my photos aren't great, I finish the pizza before I realize I should take photos lol Keep up the stellar work Bull Run! You deserve the 5-stars.

Amazing pizza in PDX. We were supposed to go to the other place but there was a long line, then another needed reservations aaaannndddd because of the rain, we ended up in here. Thank the pizza gods because it is now our favorite pizza place! We had the Bruscular and it was spectacular! Then for appetizer we had the cheesy garlic stix - it is already a meal in itself. Love the combination of the garlic confit and the cheeses and herbs. Now i’m hungry again.😆
