The good: The food was BOMB. Super delicious. We got multiple things, (wings, mango sticky rice, crispy rice and a chicken dish) and they were all phenomenal. The bad: The service is nonexistent at best, insolent at worst. Ordering at the counter and bussing your own table is pretty standard in Portland, but the lady working seemed bothered by us being there at all. She was irritated when we came up to order and was even more annoyed when we came in a second time because we didn’t know where the silverware was. (She knew we were dining in, but didn’t bring it with our food and didn’t tell us where it was.) There was some type of catered event happening inside and they were playing loud music, music. We sat outside to get away from the noise, but then they started blaring the music outside as well. It was a very unwelcoming atmosphere. Overall, I would go back for the food and I’ll hope that whoever is working isn’t rude.

Whoa, this place makes REALLY tasty Lao food. I've become accustomed to subpar Southeast Asian restaurants in Portland, so I really wasn't expecting much when I stepped inside with my friend. The place is really nicely decorated, clean, and cute, which added to our skepticism, as a lot of authentic restaurants tend to be simple or even dingy. They offer a lot of good Lao comfort dishes, for people who are new to the cuisine as well as those who already have favorites. Their special of pork belly fried sticky rice is extremely delicious, packed with flavor and spice in every bite and fresh ingredients. My friend was blown away by the quality of the food, and she's one to be easily disappointed if things aren't done right. It's also fairly priced here which adds to how wonderful the experience is. I'm definitely coming back and trying more on the menu sometime, and I've already recommended it to a couple of people.

A chill vibe with a good beer selection and amazing Loas street food! So many good items on the menu we had a hard time choosing but will be back to sample more for sure. Very clean space and super friendly and accomodating staff. Flavor profile was exciting and different from many other south asian cuisines. Really loved the beef jerky and papaya salad. The combination together was really outstanding. You can order the salad to your desired heat level. The hand made noodles in the chicken soup were very tender and delicious. Cant wait to get back and try more!

Really cute place. Was excited to try it. You order at a counter and then get your food yourself with a buzzer so keep that in mind for if you decide to tip since you pay first! You also have to bus your own table so surprised it asked for a tip honestly. 🤷‍♀️ Staff was friendly enough, but yeah no service to speak of even though the restaurant is pretty big. Decent and vegetarian options. Overall it felt pricey for what we got (I got a noodle dish and it was 99% noodles with no real veggies to speak of)

Husbands dish was better. It was all okay. Not sure if I'd be back but was cool to try something a...
