I've had them twice now and they do not disappoint! I've had the carne asada burrito and it was sheer perfection! It's not overly stuffed with a bunch of junk like some other burrito places are, they put this exquisite char on the outside of the tortilla that gives it an extra oomph and its very decently priced for how big they are. I have a huge appetite and its taken me two sessions to put them down each time. They have this delicious what must be some kind of creamy avocado sauce or something and its divine.
I got the hibiscus drink the first time and it wasn't super sugary like it is most of the time and that's not a complaint from me. Just don't want anyone to be disappointed if that's how you prefer them to be.
They seem to have more to offer than your typical taco joint (the fact they have boba throws me for a loop) so as hard as it is to pass up my beloved burrito, I'll be trying out more of their menu to see if everything else on the menu can stand up so more to come. Especially after I bring my...
Read moreFLAVORFUL TACOS I visited this taco spot for the first time today, and I have to say, the tacos were awesome! Normally, Mexican food can taste a bit plain, but these were packed with flavor, and I was really impressed. I'm happy I decided to check it out. The girl who took my order was super nice, and my food came out pretty quickly. I’d rate the tacos a solid 9 out of 10. If I'm around here again, I’ll definitely grab some more.
Update: Two years later, they’ve moved their taco truck from the corner by the gas station to a spot further down the road near the used car lots on Sandy. Honestly, the tacos are just okay now. I’m not sure what changed, but maybe the new location is affecting the vibe. Plus, they’re pricier now and lack the flavor they used to have. Their green sauce isn’t even that good anymore, and it used to be amazing! I might give them another shot in a few months, but today’s experience wasn’t as great as...
Read moreAs a Mexican-American taco enthusiast, stumbling upon El Yucateco Food Cart was a revelation. Initially drawn by my love for tacos, I was skeptical when my Midwestern friend recommended I try their panuchos. However, one bite was all it took to convert me into a devoted panucho aficionado.
My first foray into panuchos left me with a pang of regret for not ordering more. Since that fateful day, I've become a regular patron, making the pilgrimage to El Yucateco whenever my cravings strike. The staff, with their warm smiles and genuine hospitality, only add to the experience.
I must commend the staff's attentiveness, as they not only cater to my cravings but also ensure my friends are well taken care of. I couldn't help but chuckle when they graciously offered chips to my friend as she attempted to salvage the remnants of her vegetarian panuchos with her fingers. I can’t blame her though, that avocado salsa is like...
