I've been eating at Good World since they first opened in the old First Interstate Bank on Sandy Blvd between 106 and 107th next to Parkrose Hardware. I like the full menu and that you can tell them how you like your food prepared, so you can get it as spicy or mild as you desire on all the dishes. All the food here except a couple fish dishes are scratch made to order and look and taste very good MOST of the time The ambiance is like most quick turnover no frills dining experiences. The size of the portions is still reasonable, and the food quality is still very good. It used to be great, authentic Chinese food. But with changes in cooks the food quality and portion sizes have both diminished a bit over time.

The service is passable; they could stand improvement with attentiveness and fixing mistakes when an order comes out wrong, which isn't often; but when it is, they don't hustle and strive to make it right.

I like to start with egg flower soup or hot and sour soup, both are good choices here. I also like their spring rolls and the variety of sauces they have for dipping. This is not known as a Dim Sum restaurant, but there is authentic dim sum service with a good selection of items, but higher than average prices at Good World.

My favorite dishes at Good World are Mongolian Beef and Broccoli with Beef, both are excellent. The sweet and sour chicken or pork are also usually very good. Cashew Chicken is good but nothing special. General Tsao's Chicken is very good, perfectly spiced. They have a full bar but don't expect to get anything exotic or that requires a good mixologist.

They do have Oregon Lottery in the bar if you are into slots while you wait or after dinner. There is a good full-size pool table if you enjoy billiards. The bartender doubles as wait staff in the restaurant so you may have to wait fir service. Prices are competitive with other Chinese restaurants in the area e.g., the Ambassador.

There is ample parking for dinner, but not always at lunch in the parking lot that is shared with several other businesses. Lunch prices and portions are reasonably adjusted downward and are a good value.

If you want a good, filling, tasty (and without MSG) Chinese meal that's scratch made from quality local sourced ingredients at a fair price check out Good World, you will be...

Just arrived into town after a 10 hour trip and was ravenously hungry. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken, Wonton soup with egg drop noodle, orange chicken, and chicken chop suey. The quantity given was tremendous especially for take out which is great yet the only positive thing I have to say about the food was that it wasn’t bad. It was decent yet after a 10 hour fast and no food ingested you would think it would be delicious yet left a bit of flavor to be desired. Maybe if we ate in the restaurant the atmosphere may have helped I don’t know. I will give the food 3 stars out of 5 as the serving size was surprisingly large, maybe quantity over quality in the regard of take out. The orange chicken as itself was good and they even separated the sauce from it so it wouldn’t over soak in it which was appreciated because the sauce was a bit overly sweet and tasted like an orange creamsicle flavor and felt more like a dessert than an actual main dish. Overall wasn’t a bad or terrible experience yet wasn’t exactly delightful. A mediocre experience yet we’re still grateful for being able to get some hot food in quick succession after...

I stopped in to play video poker with my dad. I was not offered a courtesy drink like most bars do.so I asked for coffee and I was told they don't serve coffee "over here". That does not make sense. I'm paying money on a machine but can't get a courtesy drink. So, awhile later, a white guy walks in and they immediately ask him if he wants something to drink. At that point, I knew what I was dealing with. I'm Black. So, I waited awhile...tried conversation with staff. I was really friendly and they were standoffish.... Then I asked to order a meal to go. As I'm ordering, I said it's a little chilly and can I have tea. The lady kept ringing me up and ignored me. I asked a second time, and she finally said yes. She really didn't want to. Makes no sense because if I ate there I could get tea. Anyway, I was VERY DISAPPOINTED in the sweet and sour chicken. I was very hard and dark colored. I'm pretty positive it was old chicken. I won't be ordering there again..might stop to play...

Saw good reviews and decided to try their dimsum. We ordered siew mai, har gao, fan gao, rice noodle with shrimp, and combination lunch (bbq pork fried rice, spring rolls, sweet & sour chicken) for lunch. I only enjoyed their siew mai, har gao, and rice noodle, which were delicious and tasty. Fan gao's skin was somehow too sticky and chewy I didn't like it. Bbq pork rice and spring rolls were bland. Sweet and sour chicken was not that tasty. We also ordered yellow cream bun which never came out. The servers said the combination lunch will be served with soup, but the soup never came out. And it was hard to ask the servers because they were too busy going around from one table to another.

Good service, decent bathrooms, friendly staff and atmosphere. I got some dim sum plates, and a General Tso Chicken lunch special. The prices seem fair. Their Chinese donuts are good, and the siu mai and har gao were ok, if a bit bland. Chicken feet were mild in flavor, but at least they were soft. The General Tso's chicken reminded me of frozen battered chicken that was resuscitated in a toaster oven or air fryer, with thick bready batter that is a bit sticky on the teeth. Very vinegar forward sauce which is ok. Fried rice was moist and clumping. Mostly the food was bland but passable.
