My husband and I wanted to venture out and check out a new sushi spot. We tend to always visit the same place in Vancouver and chose to try something in Portland. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and saw it had great reviews so we thought we’d make our way out. It’s located off of 122nd and it’s next to a little corner store market. Very easy to miss and parking lot is very small. We were the only ones in there when we walked in. An Asian male greeted us right away and allowed us to pick any table to sit at. He brought over waters and played and utensils while we looked over the menu. There was quite a bit of options for the sushi and bento dishes, as well as the other Chinese food options. We order chicken gyoza, katsu chicken (which came with miso soup), 2 different sushi rolls and the chicken lo mein. Everything tasted fresh and the food items were all delicious. My husband loved all the dishes and rated everything a 5-star. The service was great and the restaurant was small and clean. We will definitely be back to try...
Read moreDO NOT EAT AT THIS RACIST ESTABLISHMENT!!! My son & I pulled in here & I ran in & asked to use the restroom it was not a problem, she showed me right to it. Keep in mind when I pulled up there was no sign saying no public restroom or restroom for customers only. When I came out my son said he needed to go so I gave him $2 to give the lady and told him to tell her I said thank you for being kind and letting us use the restroom without ordering like some places do. When he went in & ask to use the restroom and tried to tell her what I said he was cut off and told "NO! For customer only!!!" He came out crying and asked me why they did that "is it because of the color of my skin Mama?" And so unfortunately this is not the first time he has been discriminated against but this is the first time he felt it and understood it!!! I went in and confronted her because she so kindly just let my white a** use it she said it wasn't the color of his skin it was because he didn't buy anything but remember in the beginning I...
Read moreI ordered a fried appetizer and entre. The oil both were cooked in had gone rancid. I decided to tell the server, who, instead of apologizing or trying to make it right, was completely unapologetic and instead complimented me on the sensitivity of my palette. "You're good" she said. Most people don't notice. She advised me that if I did not like the taste of rancid oil that I should come earlier in the day or order food that is not from the fryer. We went to this establishment for its 4.5 star reviews and are now wondering how on earth that could be legitimate . Now, both my wife and I are back at our hotel, resentfully trying to rid our palettes of the after-taste of rancid fryer oil and imitation crab meat. I could go on. Dirty dishes, flatware, and wine glass with lipstick. When we have experiences like these, we know that the issues run deep. I was going to let it slide but after dropping $62 and popping a role of Tums, I felt the need to put in...
