My first full visit. When I say full, meaning I'm actually sitting here taking in the vibe. It's a small place, but open to maneuver around. They have 2 bathrooms which is awesome.. I was here yesterday briefly and got a sandwich which I thought was very good! The paint colors and vibe is cool. As far as the coffee, I am not ecstatic about it, but it works. I am now having a vanilla Latte that seems weak. I'm also very picky when it comes to coffee and no one could please me unless I'm brewing it hahaha. The staff was really nice on both days I have come. I will say this....I appreciate them not changing the music to hip hop or Neo soul when I came in. There has been countless times I have went to cafe's in Portland that had an Alanna's Morsette type music vibe when I walked in and being the only black person in the cafe they would change the music to hip hop. I hate when they do that! However Futura stood strong and played a type of classic pop rock and upbeat dance hall music. If there is anything I would give a critical review about, it would definitely be the music!! As a person who enjoys reading and working in a cafe, the music played does not fit the vibe of the cafe. I believe the selection is based off of what the employees like and not what those who are working there may like or need to have a better experience. I would suggest some low fi music or cool jazz that's calm and gives the cafe a mellow vibe instead of a club or drag show feel. Other than that, I'm sure I will be coming back because the staff are nice and the location is convenient to many of the places I frequent...

Clean and presentable appearance. Attention to detail on a personal level and professional level.
They explained and took the time to serve me so Iâm taking my time to serve them with this rating.
I paid for myself and three others (one toddler) and we all left satisfied. Iâm big on price to taste ratios and they did an excellent job at setting the bar hi. I paid 25$ for 4 people to enjoy brunch together. The food though was worth beyond the price I paid. It was Delicious and I didnât spend $60+ For the four of us for tasty food. Did I add they have a kids section to keep them busy while you converse.
Like I said, ânight and day difference from Fressen.â
Donât waste your time at Fressen. Go to FILLMORE COFFEE for real peace and kindness.
I give 4.7 as my score only bc I never used the bathroom so I couldnât tell you the cleanliness but as far as everything else, no table was left dirty. They immediately serviced the area that we are at as soon as we left the building. Bravo! Iâll be back :)
I enjoy trying new. This was new and left my mouth watering. Well done on the flavor pairing and allowing me to enjoy good taste and of course good company.
This place will not corrupt good morals. Thank you...
Read moreUsed to be a different coffee shop, neither have been very appealing realistically but at least this one has an updated interior. Walked in and initially was confused as to where to start. No one says hi when you come in, hardly got a look up. One thing that is prevalent in Portland is that itâs customary to be stand-offish and unresponsive as counter service goes and this place lands the role there. The cashier looked at me and waited for me to gesture an order, offered nothing, pushed buttons and read a total back. Only person with any life in their existence was the long haired individual making bagels and breakfast foods on the sidebar. This person was smiling friendly and engaged. I waited for my coffee and when it was ready I walked up to the counter to grab it and put a lid on the cup. I turned to the barista making the coffees and very clearly and directly said âthank youâ to them. Nothing. Iâm not generally bothered by this so I just finished dressing my coffee to be on my way. Something compels me just before I leave to turn to the barista one more time and say âI appreciate youâ and they donât blink an eye they just continue doing what theyâre doing. Cold blooded as we say where Iâm from. Anyway,...
