Candlelight Restaurant and Lounge — Restaurant in Portland

First of all I tried 3 different times weeks apart to call my order in ahead of time but no one answers the phone. The first time I went in to order about 45 min before closing the bartender said it was too late, the kitchen was closed. ( Don't bars have to offer something to eat because of the alcohol?). The next time I went in to order a couple nights ago the bartender was unbelievably rude, & wishy-washy. When we asked him questions about what was on the menu he said he didn't know, didn't know, didn't know. Then when we wanted to sub something and we were confused about the wording of something on the menu, all of the sudden he was the menu EXPERT! He had worked there 6 years and knows everything about the menu, the restaurant, ect. We felt like we should have stood up to his bully like behavior, but we were starving and didn't want to be thrown out.. When our to go order arrived it looked fabulous. Good portions , looked fresh, good value for the price.. EXCEPT the sauces.... The red sauce and hot mustard tasted watered down and had a very odd taste/after taste. I don't typically leave bad reviews, however I came in last night for some takeout and was seriously disappointed with the portion size. The order of broccoli beef that is around $15, had three pieces of beef in that whole container full of vegetables. Also I ordered a large hot and sour soup and the container that the to go came in was only about halfway full. In other words a small bowl of hot and sour soup. I have been here several times and never had this issue in the past but perhaps the owner is falling on hard times that he's having a cut corners I'm not sure but it seemed very cheap and not proportionate to the price you're paying for the food. I ordered take out Chinese food at 10 o'clock at night. It's the worst food I've ever had in my life. We couldn't eat it was so badd. Even the fried shrimp was so badd you couldn't eat it. We got 2 boxes a child main. One in the number 8 and 1 out the number 10 both were just complete boxes of cooked onions The fried rice was horrible. We got egg foo young it was so badd you couldn't eat it we had to throw the whole thing away the dog wouldn't even eat it.
