Unfortunately my wife and I had to have the pleasure of enjoying this little Cafe all too much while my daughter was admitted to Randall Children's Hospital. It was a great relief that actually good food was available with a decent selection of snacks and drinks complimenting the burgers, hot & cold sandwiches and hot breakfasts. They even have doughnuts if you are into that. I always enjoyed the weekly specials such as carnita tacos or chicken tinga tacos, but everything I tried here was good. My girlfriend is an employee here and on occasion we have have lunch together. Ive only eaten here a couple of times but she has more often. The heartbeat cafe is reasonably priced and has a variety of menu options to suit all diets. The eating area as well as the ordering area, was clean and organized to fit social interactions. There was a line on the floor which told customers where to wait for checkout, and the staff was prompt in opening another register when it got busy.
