Greeted by the Hostess who quickly stated we are short staffed and really busy but that it would take about 30-45 min to get us seated. Which was fine considering the fact that it was Christmas. We then was seated after 20 mins of waiting which was about 8:15pmish. The server then came to our table about 15-20min later and ask what would we like to drink...we ordered water and coffee. It took a while before the coffee got to the table and we was ready to order but she said she was ready for her break and walked off! We kindly took it as it's okay she may need it we told her it's okay..Thinking it was busy.. When she came back thinking she was ready to take our order! We asked for silverware to stir creamer for the coffee and she said that they had ran out of both silverware and creamer...so we kindly ask for milk and brown sugar she made us feel as if we were begging. She finally came back with the coffee with no sugar or milk. So this waitress told the Hostess that we were being rude, the hostess then repeated her self of being short staff which we understood...And thought we haven't said anything yet... Then another waitress and a server approach our table separately telling us we shouldn't be rude about being short staffed! She comes back 15 minutes later to give me sugar no milk and now my coffee is cold! NOW at this point my family and I were sooo confused at this situation and thinking what was going on. As my wife observed the whole restaurant and saw the perception and yes they were busy but for some odd reason we were the only family that wasn't being waited on. My wife even got up to walk to the restroom to also find that customers who we waited with are already eaten and paying their tabs. I'm a supervisor and my wife is a manager at other professional industries and believe strongly on customer experience, we felt very disrespected and wrongfully judged! Mine the fact we could of gone somewhere else but beginning it was Christmas and it was our daughters choice we had bit our tounge on this situation. 20 minutes later she came back to tell us that she doesn't know what was going on but that they have lost our order! So they had to retake our order and by the time our food got to our table it was 10:30pm and my daughter fell asleep on the table cause they took too long!! The last time I would ever take my family to THIS IHOP restaurant! Big...
Read moreArrived a little after 8pm. Restaurant was fairly empty, and we were seated right away by a very nice hostess. About 5 minutes later the hostess came back with silverware, and we mentioned we were ready to order. She said she wasn't our waitress, but that our waitress would be along shortly to take our order. After waiting 10-15 minutes without seeing anyone, we asked the lady cleaning tables if she could get someone for us. She took her time finishing the table she was cleaning before walking away to, I suppose, locate our waitress. A few minutes later I saw the waitress come up, take the drink orders of a group that was seated 10 minutes after us, and disappear again. About 5 more minutes and she returned to take our drink orders, and we informed her that we were ready to order, which somehow surprised her. A while later our food showed up, delivered not by our waitress, but someone else we hadn't encountered yet. Two out of three orders were incorrect, and we asked for them to be corrected. A moment later our waitress appears, and in a very confrontational tone asks, "what's going on here? What's the problem!" We explain and she goes off to do her thing, whatever that may be. At some point she comes back to bring food to the adjacent table, and one of the customers said that he ordered fries, but received onion rings. Rather than accept this discrepancy and fix it, she says, "you said onion rings, I repeated it back to you. Am I crazy?!" Fast forward to end of the meal. The pancake mixup was corrected, but my sister still has over easy eggs, instead of scrambled, which she had ordered. We went most of the meal with empty glasses. It is now after 9:05pm and we get our check. I immediately place my card on the bill and wait for her to come back for it. And I wait, and wait, and wait. 20 minutes later, she finally returns, and I am free to go at about 9:30. Totaled receipt with $3 charitable donation, and $1 tip, just to demonstrate that I meant to leave next to nothing, it was not an omission. I have never had worse service in my life, and I hope you are relegated to...
Read moreI most definitely would not suggest going here. Maybe another location? But not this one. It was not busy, a lot of empty tables, a couple large groups. It was a 20min. Wait (for all these empty tables) the group that came in after us was seated before us for some reason, and they were a larger group. Ordering our drinks didn’t take longer than usual. We ordered our food when she came back with our drinks. And then we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited. For atleast 45min. For our food to come out. During that time not once were we asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Our table was not checked on. We weren’t told given a heads up about the food taking so long. No apology. Nothing. The staff wasn’t busy, there were 3 girls standing around gossiping a couple different times. When our food finally came the eggs were cold and needed to be remade so once again you’re waiting. Pancakes were burnt. We weren’t asked if we needed anything like hot sauce, jam etc. when trying to ask for a refill our server was always trying to walk away instead of taking care of our table. Other than the food not being hot it was pretty good. Which is the only reason I would suggest and try another location. Check out, we told our server in the beginning that it was going to be separate checks so whichever way would be easier for her to break it down in the beginning or the end. She chose to do it all on once and separate it at the end. Well at the end she told us that she can’t separate it but she can use multiple payments. So we had to pay without knowing what she was charging us until after she runs the card… I understand if places are short staffed. But communicate. If we knew it was going to take that long to get our food we would have gone somewhere else instead of making kids wait an hour to eat. And sitting in a cold restaurant. Thirsty because your server doesn’t give you a refill...
