Seriously the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time and certainly the best ever had in Portland. I’m so excited to have this food tart near me. I went there for lunch with my mom recently and I had the lamb vindaloo and she had the Aloo Gobi. The lamb was so tender, and the vindaloo sauce was better. I heard a medium spicy and I’m glad I did. It definitely had a kick, but didn’t take a the experience. The other girl he was also really good and portion size is definitely great for sharing. The only minor issue I had is that it was a little bit hard to eat there because they were no plates, and the man working there gave us a spoon to eat with. We ended up just taking it to go so we could share it easier but I’ll deal with that. I’m really excited to eat here again the menu is huge it’s hard to believe they have all of those items in a food truck but there’s so many things I...
Read moreWe've been to the Tadka House A few times since they opened in the Chill n Fill food cart pod and their food is consistently delicious. We've had a range of dishes including some of the curries, biryani, samosas, and naan - all of which were flavorful albiet a tad on the spicy side even for mild. The portions are really generous and can easily make two meals. We found the butter chicken to be a really luscious, creamy curry. The aloo muttar was well spiced and flavorful. Especially like the biryani with lamb which is really tender. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on this menu. One thing that I like is when you order your meal, they give you a little buzzer so if you want to sit inside and have a beverage while you wait, the buzzer will let you know when your food is ready!
Also want to acknowledge how friendly and efficient the staff are. Check it out. You...
Read moreFinally, delicious Indian food in the neighborhood! I was thrilled to see this truck open but also a bit nervous to try it (because what if it's not good?!)
Thankfully, they exceeded expectations. Even after a walk home, the curry was piping hot, the samosas were crispy, and all the flavors were spot-on. They offer a good assortment of classic dishes and appetizers with a variety of vegetarian and meat options. If you don't love spice, be sure to emphasize "mild" because even the butter chicken that my partner ordered mild had a little kick to it (totally still edible and delicious, but the spice was present). As a fan of spicy foods myself, I can't wait to explore their medium and hot options.
If they continue with the quality we experienced last night, this will be a neighborhood favorite for...
