Kind Cafe Cart — Restaurant in Portland

Kind is one of those special neighborhood places that is so much more than just a coffee shop.

The coffee is fantastic (cold brew and cardamom latte are my favs), the breakfast sandwiches are addictive (homemade breakfast sausage is to die for!!) and the cannoli are a great special treat.

Come for the morning pick me up, stay for the music and bubbles and the wonderful wonderful people who have created a community gathering place out of a tiny food cart on Belmont.

Or as Francesca would say, “Come for the coffee stay for the behaviors and circumstances.” I’ll let you figure out what that means...

To put it simply, best coffee - best humans - best vibes. I've been going to this coffee cart since 2018. What brings me back is the genuine love the team there has for what they do. Francesca is a beacon of light and is a testament to the power of authenticity! I will move soon and will dearly miss this spot. If you're visiting or live in PDX, you MUST (yes... MUST) go here at least once and then you can decide if what I say rings true :) P.S. they play the best music and if you're lucky, will have the bubble machine blastin' during sunny weather!!!! My first visit back to Kind in three years, and it did not disappoint. A cheerful, welcoming interaction, a spirited, friendly conversation about coffee, a delicious caffé macchiato with perfect moist, fluffy foam, and a just-right crunchy and not-too-sweet cannoli.

Here's what I wrote in 2021: I can only speak for the coffee, didn't try any food, but the coffee is excellent. Medium-dark roast with hints of chocolate and citrus. Nicely prepared milk with just the right froth/thickness. The mood is lively, friendly...
