We love Laughing Planet but unfortunately don't eat here very often since it's a major expense. I guess we could make the same things at home for a lot less money, but I doubt it'd taste as good. Plus I never know what I want to eat until I get there...and cleaning the juicer at home is a pain. So it's worth it to eat there and feel good about what you are putting in your body. If I were a couple of tax brackets higher, I would totally eat there every day. There's enough menu options and variations on fillings that it'd take forever to get bored of their cooking. They don't have table service and you kinda have to sit on the bar side to avoid the children. Still worth it. I hope that their high prices are rolled back into higher wages for the staff and awesome quality ingredients, because that's how I justify the somewhat infrequent meals enjoyed there. They also sell their own very good hot sauces, which you can try on your food before you buy. All three I've had so far are worthy and now in my condiment rack at home. The salsas have an option for a very hot one, and I recommend avoiding it unless you really (REALLY really) like heat. I'm guessing it's about 60% habanero peppers by volume. Delicious, just a lot warmer than I expected in Woodstock, you know...
Read moreI have recently discovered laughing planet, and thought them to be a step above in the Portland burrito scene. As a food delivery driver, I have had the opportunity to sample all locations... This location tho, NO consistency. Not even 2 of my last 5 burritos have been close to each other. And I order the exact same thing every time. This last time, I called them, and am happy to say they without question said they would replace my order on an immediate or future visit. But they didn't even make the replacement correct. 1st 3 bites contained ALL the habanero sauce. Couldn't even taste the bbq sauce which I ordered extra of (probably because my mouth was on fire) Quality of the food is good, which the rating reflects. But I should be able to order the same item from the same restaurant and expect the same product. Not sure if I will come back to this location 🤔 Very discouraging, as I really...
Read moreLaughing Planet (LP) Woodstock is a fantastic SE Portland establishment with fresh, tasty, healthy, mostly organic food, nice people, with very reasonable prices. I’ve eaten at the Woodstock Laughing Planet 15 to 20 times a month for the past two years and this place rocks. Not to mention the excellent draft beer selection and a nice little bar area. For those of you with children LP Woodstock is very kid friendly with a big dining area. There is also a nice outdoor heated seating area for those balmy Portland days. I just returned from a two week road trip and this is the first place I went after dropping my bags off at the house; you just can’t get “real food” on the road in America these days. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you should stop by and order a “Holy Mole’” in a bowl add spinach, or a “Bubba” in a bowl. You can substitute tofu for chicken if you’d prefer it. Tell them Jeff...
