Walked in and no one acknowledged us there to buy anything. We then sat down and tried to figure out what we were going to order inside the building while other people were there then other people walked in and we're getting served and acknowledged. They did the same thing we did they didn't pre-order they were ordering right then and there and then I had to walk back up to get an order taken after standing there waiting for someone to take an order. The people sat behind the counter talking to each other sitting on stools. I don't think they were too interested in helping us because we were black. But everyone else that came in was not black and they were very eager to help them. I did keep a track on that. When we got the food it was poorly made and the burritos were falling apart. It was almost as if they did...

My family and I have been going to Los gorditos for about 4 years now. It used to be a food truck but it was so popular they open the restaurant in the same spot. The portions are ginormous. My favorite is the chicken chimichanga. Everything is super loaded with meat great vegetables. They don't overdo it with the cheese. So if your big cheese lover ask for extra cheese. Their prices are very reasonable there's usually a wait if you go in person to order. I call in my food and it usually takes about 10 minutes for it to be prepared and ready to go. Their beef is a nice high-quality beef their chicken is very good clean not fatty or full of Gristle. I am very happy with all the food I've ever gotten there. Keep in mind this is real Mexican food not Taco Bell style...

I've given 3 stars for slightly inattentive service and for the floor layout. I've eaten mostly at the SE 12th location and am biased towards the large windows and street level view. I am a carnivore but on this visit I ordered a soycurl fajita because their food has been a good option though which to explore vegan options. I also bookmark this as one of the businesses which offer full menus for both vegans and meat eaters alike. The fajita was really good, though it seems to me that some changes have been made to the recipes since the last time I ate at Gorditos. I like this location well enough but feel the restroom access (restroom is shared with the apartment management and isn't far, but it's not a plus for me) and some other minor points put...

I honestly wasn't a big fan. I waited a while before making this review... Los Gorditos is near a school, and it is easy to get to, but is it worth it? The size of the food is good, but it has no flavor. They had mistaken my order and forgot the sauce, but I let it slide. I went again on a different day and it was okay. The staff are kinda rude. There are food trucks across the screets that may have more flavor. Its affordable, which is the only reason I go, but besides that, it's a two has star rating.

Los Gorditos is what I would consider a ‘baseline’ of decent quality Mexican food in the Portland area. It’s nice that it’s an option as a recognizable food chain in just about every corner of the city. Los Gorditos should be thought of as a quick bite instead of something of super high quality. It’s consistently good across the chain with separate vegetarian and vegan menus and a variety of sauces. We recommend the nachos or the Wet Burrito if you’re hungry and trying to get a bang for your buck.

So my buddy and I came here after being told there was a 30min wait at tasty up the street (they must be crazy) so we walk in and there is not one soul inside for whatever reason i have no idea but the food was so GOOD. Had a breakfast burrito w bacon/chorizo with chips and guac. No a long wait and the staff (hostess and cook) were very nice offering a fond goodbye and a nice day day wish. Will definitely be back next time I'm here. Thank you!
