This was one of those experiences where everything was a 10. The service and the server Liam was gracious to great care of us made an excellent recommendation. The food was over the top and hot as was the tea excellent unusual green tea and was great. They have three blended juices I had the orange and the carrot juice which was excellent. The jam they served with toast was out of this world Berry jam with with real experience of the flavor of the berry and not overwhelmed with sweetness just very tasty. My guest had the salmon hash and could not stop raving about it and it was definitely enough for minimum of two meals for her and possibly three. Mine was the baked eggs all Francais with bechamel sauce , mushrooms, 2 poached eggs, hash browns, swiss cheese graline and topped with gruyere cheese. Served with toasted baguette slices. We watched beautiful large croissants being delivered to the tables and you could tell they were favored because they were eating before the rest of the food came. Highly highly recommend this restaurant and if you look online you will find that there are several of them and I have eaten at two of them and found all three items to be just the same at those two restaurants I've eaten at the one on division Street which was the one today and then earlier before like in 2019 I ate at the one in Alberta 14th I think in Alberta but there are several others around in the city. It is an experience and we were there at a time just after opening where you could eat leisurely and not feel like you were depriving anybody of a table which can happen later in the morning of course I haven't eaten there since covid and so it might be a little slow to return but take the opportunity go enjoy and take your time as much time...

Mixed review. The food was terrific! I had salmon hash and eggs. Tammy had the best oatmeal we've ever tasted.

The reason 3 stars is this; it's one thing to be forgotten by the waitstaff, and yet another to not receive a simple apology. Tammy, after about 10 minutes of being seated, went inside from our table outside to ask if we are supposed to order inside. The same hostess who seated us, stated we needed to be seated and table prepared first. Which happened 10 minutes before.

Then after a few staff members went outside to check on the only other customer seated outside, our server came out to take our order.

From this point we felt like we were intruding. For example, the usual table service and attention from other staff members like the water being refilled by the person whose job it appeared to be to fill the waters, ours was nearly empty before we were added to the rotation despite the other customer being kept full. Or the red shirt guy who might be the manager asked the other customer how his breakfast was yet refused to so much as make eye contact with us, as he walked by our table while we sat, still, without service.

Soon the rest of the tables outside filled up and the place was busy with waitstaff, those customers received good service compared to ours. Our server was nice enough but our 3 eyes and green skin proved to be too much for Division Street.

Quite disappointing considering this nice little place could have been our Sunday breakfast place. AND we are great tippers for even...

A great spot to meet for a working lunch- service was quick, if not always thoughtful. I had the steak and eggs au jus. Sounded way too good to pass up!!

Our service experience was in turns pleasant and jarring...I loved the spry, short haired woman who had lots of spunk and geniality, great customer service skills- and then there was the youngish blonde who never noticed that she spilled water on my foot- and made the unfortunate decision to Windex the front windows within inches of our table as our food arrived, as we tried to enjoy the sunshine by opting for the sidewalk tables. Hardly appetizing.

I ordered the steak rare, but it came back well done. My colleague ordered hers medium rare...and lo and behold- it cam back well done. We mentioned it to the server who apologized profusely- and I opted to keep it- since I was already halfway through it by the time she checked in. It wasn't terrible! In fact, even well-done it was pretty darn tasty! I had the eggs poached- and the squash and fruit.

The fruit was fine- but sliced so that I had to eat it with my hands- awkward- and the squash was familiar- I buy the same frozen cubed squash from Whole Foods! It's not terrible...but frozen squash in the middle of summer? Really guys?

Not a bad experience- I certainly cleaned my plate- but being pregnant, that's not hard to do these days. I think I'd only drop in here for convenience- no real...

One of the best bakeries I have experienced in life, and if you have read or trust my other reviews, that's saying a lot. The atmosphere is extremely chilled, and feels like you have entered into a new area in SE. The entire place has beautiful displays that showcase the food well. And the pastries and baked good: they are extremely delicious. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion you get. I have never had a chocolate croissant with so much chocolate in it in my entire life. Everything I got here was very well made, and any baked item with stuffed ingredients had a ton of those ingredients. No one is skimping on anything here. Both sweet and savory items are delicious here. Coffee is very good here, and so is the hot chocolate (I love hot chocolate). There is one area to the right, after you enter, where you order and can have items to go. There is one area to the left where you can sit. I have never sat in the left area. The staff is very professional, relaxed, and pleasant. Overall, if you are looking for one single bakery recommendation from me, this would be it. You all know how much I love Little T. You won't go wrong with Little T, but you'll never go wrong with Petite Provence.

I'll start with the pros, then the cons. Pros: Great environment. Comfortable seating with cushions on the chairs. Cool French bakery type setting inside the restaurant. Servers, hostess, and other staff were very friendly and came by to check on me. Customer service was good. Also the almond croissant was the most almonds filled croissant I've ever had. Very good ppastry. Cons: I had the salmon croissant eggs Benedict with avocado 🥑. I couldn't taste the hollandaise sauce. It needed more flavor enhancer i.e. lemon juice. Idk if there's seasoning that ever goes in hollandaise but that'd be good too. Idk if the sauce is from a packet or made in house. The poached eggs were perfectly poached. My first bite of salmon was super fishy, but after the first bite it was mellow and tasted good, just kind of bland. The hashbrowns were perfect as well with a nice crunchy exterior. The salmon eggs Benedict has potential, it was just bland and flavorless, so I asked for some lemon wedges which helped add flavor. This was my first time going and I'd recommend 5 out of 5 going for the pastries and the experience.

01/08/2022: 4.0 out of 5 - It has been awhile since I came to Petite Provence Boulangerie & Patisserie. A few of us from my Saturday running group showed up. The establishment had changed its table layout, and a few other things. However, the place was still impressively clean and the table layout does seem to allow more seating. It was as noisy as it usually is, but we didn't have to yell or text across the table to have a conversation. The staff were friendly and very professional. Clean, attentive, quick and responsive without the intrusion. Now the food and drinks. What can I say? It was okay. It was plated nicely, but the taste seemed bland. Not like how it was, considering I've ordered many of the items on Petite Provence's menu in the past. All in all, at the end of any meal I often will ask, "Would you come back?" My answer if given the opportunity? Most likely since the staff are great, and the establishment doesn't partake in any for of discrimination. So, if you ever get a chance, try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
