UPDATE Mar 2004: Fully remodeled and amazing looking! They bring food to your table now, and have self service platforms for you to enter your own order. No more PlayPlace, but it's a cool new, much more modern design. It's annoying that nearly every time I place an order here, it's wrong in the end. On the upside, they do a pretty good job keeping the place clean and presentable. They have a Playplace at this location that is pretty enjoyable for my kids (4 and 9). The staff seems to be pretty good about taking ownership of their mistakes when an issue has been brought to their attention. Out of the three locations within four miles of each other, this is still my preference due to the Playplace and proximity to other interests.
As a side note: If you're turning left into their driveway from Forest Ave., you may become witness to major road-rage. During busy traffic hours the people turning left onto Forest Ave. from Allen Ave. will be stopped in the middle of the intersection for the entire duration of the left green arrow into McDonald's. This often times will trigger agitated drivers to inflict upon others: vehicle collisions, screamed vulgarity, obscene gestures, excessive horn usage, uncomfortable stares, and I have even witnessed persons exiting their vehicle to tell at and intimidate other drivers. Most people wait u til the traffic clears and run the red light in-between signals. Between 3:30pm and 5:30pm you should just come in another direction. It's impossible to obey the laws and get a hamburger between those hours if you're taking a left...
Read moreThe food is fine as with any mcdonalds. My unhappy experience with this location is how dirty the play area and the store in general is. In the past this place was always clean and there was always someone checking the play area, they must have changed management. Today I came with my children to let them play, the tables are dirty, there is food and trash sitting on tables abandoned. Food on the floor, floors sticky, the kids jungle tubes gym smells bad per my kids, and there is food inside up there too. Where you self dispense your drinks is unmonitored as well, no napkins in any of the dispensers, barely any soda cup tops available. I approached the order desk and asked for them to send someone to clean, they gave me excuses that they were busy. I am sorry this is an unacceptable response. If the health department came right now they would have several health code violations. And no your busy is not an excuse, human health and safety are above excuses. What can you expect to find in the kitchen area if the front of the store is in disarray? I will never set foot at this mcdonalds again. In the time that we were here, no one came in to check and clean! I know it's a fast food restaurant and I shouldn't expect much, but at least keep it clean that's minimal expectation from...
Read moreI've been going to this Location for over 30 years. It's the best McDonalds in greater Portland. One gripe. The prices go up too often.I used to go in for breakfast 5 times a week, but cut back to 3 days then 2 days.I get the same thing every day,Recently the price has been different almost every time I've gone in.Started keeping Receipts.Turned out to be the Coffe was a different price alternating from $1.59 & $1.79.Today the biggest increase in a while. The sausage,Egg & Cheese biscuit was $5.79 yesterday.Today it was $5.99 and New charge of 30 cents for cheese Total $6.29. You're going to probobly make more money, but with fewer customers. Most of the breakfast Dine in customers are Senior Citizens and the conversations are about 2 things. The prices and Seniors don't see well and have a hard time with the Video Menus. The screens change too quickly. They're looking for the cheap stuff. Selling cheap stuff is better than...
