McMenamins Detention Bar — Restaurant in Portland

So we are staying 2 nights at the Kennedy School and we were excited about the cool little bar called “Detention”. Little did we know they will only serve you whiskey drinks. That is all well and good but it is not posted or explained in any way. After trying to order a Gin martini and being told they would not make one we left to find one of the other bars. Before we had even taken 3 steps away the bartender condescendingly announced we tried to order a martini and started laughing with the 3 other patrons that were in the bar.
