It is cold and it is wet out and I wanted to have a tasty hot grilled cheese sandwich with hot tomato soup. Found this spot and was hoping it would be like the ol’Grilled Cheese Grill. The menu sounded like possibly it could but it completely missed the mark. In a sea of amazing places to eat in Portland this one stands out for how plainly mediocre it is. The sandwich had little to no flavor with the mildest of cheddar coupled with what looked like supermarket cold cuts. Was there even an apple in there? If so it went unnoticed. This all came with some potato crisps ala bag o Ruffles and an Oreo. Could we get any more creative?? Then there is the tomato bisque…yikes! Served classy in a paper coffee cup, it was reminiscent of a mix of canned soup with a bottle of Worcestershire sauce. Definitely one of the most lackluster Portland food cart...
