This was great PIZZA! The crust was probably the best so far in #PDX. The bartender - Kevin - so cool dude. Very nice and friendly, answered all my questions about the ingredients and. . . Wait for it . . . Turned me into a Mushroom based Ale and a Cucumber based Lager. I chose the Council Crest Cucumber Lager and what a fantastically refreshing Beer. He told me the sell their beers in a 32 oz Crowler - which he explained was a Can Growler. Now, that's going to keep cool in the cooler at the beach and drifting down the Washougal River this summer. The Mushroom Ale was tasty indeed - it uses Candy Cap Mushrooms in with the one additional Hop. Wow - Incredible Beer and really great crust - NYC taste in my mouth still - Pizza. Now, as y'all know - I'm a vegetarian. So, can't review the meaty varieties of the pizza's - that's up to all of you. But - I will say this - I always start with the Cheese and go from there. As you can see from my pics - the Cheese was so damn tasty, the crust rocked my world - I ordered a Veggie - and was even more delighted. Veggie slice of the day had Bell Peppers, Red Onions, hint of Pepperoncini (did not over power it) and Cheddar cheese as toppings. Usually I shy away from Cheddar as a topping but this time I was really impressed. The always have Cheese and Pepperoni slices daily, said Kevin. But he did tell me they cycle through the meaty choice and the Veggie Choice of the day. In addition - as I still wanted more of that amazing NYC tasting pizza crust - I think I will order one of their whole pie choices or build my own next time. That way I can bring some home for my roommate and/or try it cold when I wake up in the middle of the night craving more. Tasty taste buds I know are going to be craving this for some time to come. Highly suggest this place - Highly! Tip Kevin good now - ya hear?

Solid pizza joint with tons of seating, roomy, an upstairs and TVs throughout showing games. Our server was cool and friendly, providing great service even though we came in an hour before closing - appreciated that. Starters: garlic knots were fresh and delicious. The marinara sauce is awesome. Artichoke dip is pretty good, comes with warm pita bread. Pizza: we ordered 4 larges (8 slices) for 6 people and it was more than enough. There’s two options for crust, original and thin crust - actually, there’s a gluten free option too. BBQ chicken was solid but pepperoncinis were weird. Add bacon. Great addition. The pesto was tasty but be prepared for a lot of cheese - this is a heavy pizza. Finally, we ordered a veg one (forgot the name) with artichokes mushrooms and sundries tomatoes (this was my fave of the bunch).

Great tap list of creative brews, upscale pub food at decent prices, friendly service, and beautiful ambiance. Gorgeously decadent interior with wooden beams, tables, chairs, copper bar tops, and an altogether aesthetically appealing interior. Ample seating downstairs and upstairs on the loft. Bartender was polite and prompt, provided the necessary tastes to make to proper selection from their unique tap list. I started off with the Zitrone (lemon water blonde) and found it very refreshing, light on the taste buds with a subtle sweetness. Then I went for the Mind Your Elders (elder flower lager) which was really delicious, offering a moderately floral flavor and we'll brewed lager body. Mmm mm! Definitely will be back! Thanks! Best, ~S

We have been to the MLK location multiple times, primarily for happy hour. The first couple of experiences were good. The last few times have been very disappointing. The food is good, but the service is lackluster, at best. To have someone shrug at you and say " sit where ya want", is not a great start. Then to have someone else come by and drop a few menus on the table, without a word, smile, nod, or eye contact, is heading in the wrong direction. And not even drop off the happy hour menu, in the middle of happy hour! Good grief! We have had to ASK for the happy hour menu every time. The staff seems interested only in those sitting at the bar, most of whom actually works in this location, along with their friends. We got up and left this time. We have given them another chance far too many times, and today was the last. Apparently one must be part of the clique to have a good experience. Hope that works out long term for you. Not the best way to run a business, grow a business, let alone stay in business in this day of options for...
