First of all we've been here twice now and we're wildly coming back for more. NBHC is hands down serving up deliciousness with every dish. While looking over their menu my mouth began to water in anticipation, my heart and soul landed on the vegetable chow mein, Hunnies it was worth everything. When ordering I asked for extra veggies as well as tofu protein but the real secret was when they asked me if I wanted it spicy (yes we did) and omg were we blown away by the sheer combination of heat/flavor, these noodles are hands down the best I've had in years. Upon opening my go container my eyes feasted on the gorgeous colors and sumptuous aromatic essences within, each bite tantalizing my taste buds. The noodles had an absolute amazing texture, the veggies solid, the tofu a golden brown and every single pull from utensils of choice (chop sticks) plucked a crispy fried topper. If your wondering about the service, we'll rest at ease friends the owner/ staff at NBHC are are just as incredible, they're serving up compassion and kindness with knowledge of their craft. I went in back to back weekends (I was craving these noodles for days) and with each encounter I not only felt seen and heard for what I was ordering but also received such warm and inviting attitudes from each individual I spoke too. I might sound biased and I can only hope that your visit will leave you as satisfied as I've been. If your looking for wonderfully delicious meals that are hot and flavorful, that will nourish your body and your soul, all the while leaving you a better human for it, please go make a pilgrimage to NBHC. Nestled in the heart of Heist, Woodstocks premier cart pod you'll find this absolute gem. Without a doubt I'll be going back for more and I hope to see...
Read moreI usually don’t get excited about food and I rarely write reviews, but this food really lit up my taste buds! I was less than halfway through my first meal from here when I felt compelled to spread the word about this place
I was working in the area for the week, randomly found Namu Buddha when looking for a place for dinner one night, and ordered the Chicken Choila. Bam! I was hooked after a few bites. It’s so good! I got it the next night (fantastic again). Night 3 was my last night working in the area. Of course I’d be ordering from Namu Buddha again. Do I dare try something else or go with what I knew I loved. I branched out and went with the Nepali Thali. Wow! Equally as delicious as the Chicken Choila and now I can’t decide which I liked more. The chai tea is also super tasty. After trying a sample the first night, I ordered it the remaining nights.
And what really seals the deal for me is how healthy each dish was. Good macronutrient ratios and fresh veggies/fruit. It’s food I could eat often for the amazing taste and also feel good...
Read moreWe wanted dumplings, but they were out at 1.
Tried the chicken choila, didn't realize the chicken was also cold not just the salad. We didn't love it, but I have no other choila to compare it to, so not sure if it's this place or we just don't like the dish. She did offer a warm curry version, which I just thought was warm curry in place of the salad, but it would have also made the chicken warm. I asked which she recommended and she didn't offer one. After we ate she said the cold version is traditional, I wish she would have offered that info when I asked for details.
The chow Mein and peanut sauce were both great. I would order them again.
We drove by the first time because we didn't realize it was in a food truck park that is in some black fencing next to/behind another business. There is plenty of parking, but they should have some better signage. This is more an issue of the court not just this one truck. They did have some heated, open, seating, but the tables were all...
