Shawarma Spot — Restaurant in Portland

Okay. So. Ive been here several times. It used to be okay, literally as of last month. Not as good as the shawarma cart in montavilla on 82nd across the street from wendys but alright. (But seriously. That spot on 82 is amazing) I dont know what happend here, but between last time and this time, its gone shitty. The lamb gyro i got today PALED in comparision to those ive gotteb here before. Whereas before the meat was cut into easily forkable bites, or if you wanted to get hands on, you had a nice mix of meat to veggie.

Today... today the meat in the lamb gyro was served in a form, more akin to strips of bacon in size and shape. And Ive seen better veggie portions and quality in a crunchwrap supreme.

It was seriously disappointing and not worth the money. I wish I had driven to montevilla.

As usual, the cart lot here is A+. Though the recent change to many common beverages only being available via machines has turned it into an A+ that resides closer to an flat A than a true A+. But A+...

this place is a hidden gem! I stopped by for some shawarma, and I was absolutely blown away. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the sauces and fresh toppings took it to another level. The portions were generous, the pita was soft and warm, and every bite was perfection.

On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and fast. The staff made me feel welcome and even gave me great recommendations. You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do. They made it an awesome experience.

If you're a shawarma lover (or even if you've never tried it before), do yourself a favor and check this place out. I’ll definitely be coming back for more, normally I keep the great things to myself but this...
