Boy, oh boy, where do I even begin with this review? Let's just say that if you're looking for a new local favorite in the Sellwood area, this place is it! And the waiter with glasses, has to be an establishment favorite, am I right? He was more than just amazing, he was downright awesome! His customer service was off the charts, like an A+ and beyond! He was so friendly and professional and just radiated great energy! But let's get down to the nitty-gritty, the food. The burger was cooked to perfection, with a bun so soft you could probably use it as a pillow. As for the chicken club, it was good, but unfortunately the bacon was cooked too crispy as it had the crunch of a potato chip and the truffle fries were a bit overcooked as well. Hey, these things happen, but don't worry, it was still an enjoyable experience and meal. And next time, we'll just have to make sure to communicate that we don't want our food to be cooked as long. Overall, we'll definitely be back for more! Who knows, maybe the waiter will even remember us and give us an extra dose of that amazing energy!

A true neighborhood gem! This place has consistently great food and a solid selection of beers on tap. I heard they’ve brought on someone new to oversee the menu, and you can tell—there’s a real attention to detail and pride in quality. I had the wings with a dry rub and they were packed with flavor—some of the best I’ve had in Portland. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We caught a Final Four game here and had an awesome time. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Yummy truffle fries, GnT, and beet salad (+grilled chicken). I was very excited about the knife that came with the salad. Salad consumption can be cumbersome and hilariously awkward when trying to slam a bush into your face covered in drippy dressing.

So I go here despite the bad reviews I had read because my woman and I wanted to go someplace dog friendly. We sat outside where the server promptly filled the dog water bowl and took our drink orders. He continued to check on us, despite the inside dining area being pretty packed for a Saturday. I definitely give the service an A+++. The food came out surprisingly fast, under 15 minutes. I ordered the Blue velvet burger with salad and she had the Oaks Bottom burger with vegetarian chili. First off, let me say; I'm not the biggest fan of salad however this was excellent. Thinly sliced red onions, dandelion leaves, fresh greens, It was good. The burger was ultimately the best burger I've ever had, hands down. Perfectly saute'd mushrooms, fresh bleu cheese, and a patty that was cooked to perfection with a delicious pretzel type bun. The patty had to have been an inch to an inch and a half thick, and weighed in at least 1/3 to 1/2 pound. The Oaks Bottom burger was good as well, and the vegetarian chili had the deliciousness and texture of authentic southwestern chili con carne. All and all, a most excellent dining experience. I had no qualms about...

We’ve been coming here for years and have always thought of it a solid pub where everyone in my family can find something to eat, which can be hard with young kids! It recently changed hands, which I think is an improvement overall.

The pros: -consistent, good pub food with solid portion sizes -homy pub atmosphere -can usually find the game you’re trying to watch! -good service (better now than it was!) -both indoor and outdoor places to sit

The cons: -it’s a bit pricy (but isn’t everything these days?) -the new shampoo-style plastic bottles they use for water. They’re pretty unappetizing -lack of a solid vegetarian salad option (my go-to squash salad was taken out of the rotation with the ownership change and replaced with a beet salad - it’s just not as tasty or flavorful. We’d honestly come way more often if there was a better option here.)

We still go and the whole family generally really enjoys it - but with the salad change, we go less frequently than we used to. But that could just be...
