I have to start by saying I love this place. I have been coming here off and on for years since moving to the sellwood area. My nailbeds have always been slightly problematic because the cuticle practically takes over my nail if I go without a manicure for a few weeks. So, that was the case today. I had let my nails go for about 6 weeks so the cuticles were very long. (Post wedding lazies, you get the idea.) To her defense, the place got suddenly busy while doing my nails and she was answering the phone, while greeting incoming guests, while calling some backup for how suddenly busy it was. This was when she started my nails. Among the busyness, she cut my cuticle too deep on both my middle fingers to the point of bleeding. It stung every time she touched it. She proceeded to apologize, but an hour later and my nailbeds are in pain. I feel horrible to say that I likely will not be coming back as there should be some kind of control for when it gets busy and clients (regular ones at that) who pay full price should not be subjected to pain. I was looking forward to this self care but instead am sitting at home with ice on my fingers. Anyway, this place is amazing for pedicures but I had to give 4 stars due to the pain in my fingers. Also this is the first time in my 6 plus years of getting manicures from these kind ladies that I didnt enjoy. Go and judge for yourself. It was $59 for a basic pedi and basic shellac mani, including nail kit and not including tip.

As someone who moves around a lot, finding a new nail salon I like in the area I’m at currently is often tough but since being in Portland, I came across this place, been here twice and absolutely love how they do my nails. My dip nails look natural and last longer. And the ladies are super nice to their customers, you feel welcome! Will definitely be going back!

I used to LOVE this place, and still enjoy going there. However, the quality of the services has declined drastically though the prices are the same. I used to go there every week for acrylic nails, and every other week for a pedicure or foot massage as well. I haven't been for a little while, but the last time I went I had a full set of nails done and a deluxe pedicure to prepare for a wedding I was attending. The nails were the most disappointing aspect of the whole experience, and not worth the $30 I spent on them. I got the same caliber of nails done for $15 at a beauty school a couple years ago.

The ONLY person that does the acrylics is also the owner and she was extremely distracted the entire time I was there. She would stop working on my nails at every distraction. She stopped to answer the phone, stopped to book appointments, and paused to chat with exiting customers - though she had someone working the counter to do all of that for her. On top of that, she stopped mid-service to disappear for 10 minutes to wax someone's eyebrows - because AGAIN she is the only person that does that service there.

When my nails were done, they were all different lengths. She didn't even double check to make sure that the nails on both hands were the same length, not to mention that one of my nails was a completely different shape then all of the others. As a result, after going home I had to completely reshape my nails and shorten them significantly so they were a - the length I actually asked for, and b - matching the length of the shortest nail which just so happened to be a thumb nail... the largest nail of them all.

And by significantly shorter, I mean that this nail was over 1/4" shorter than all of the rest.

The pedicure was pretty decent but still not the same caliber that it used to be.

$75 later and I walked out of there with services that - if I were to pay based on quality - should have cost less than $50... I have had similar if not better services at a beauty school.

It's a shame as they used to be amazing, and they used to do the best acrylics I have ever had. I will be finding a new place to go from now on. I don't appreciate sub-standard services for...

I've been getting my nails done here for almost a year now, around every month. No issues... until they went under new management. The women are all lovely, but the male manager is brash, argumentative, and incredibly rough when doing nails. My sister has gone here twice now and has had similar experiences with him. He cut four of my fingers which were evidently bleeding, to which he showed no care for. Instead he put the blame on me for having "dry cuticles." Dry cuticles or not, you shouldn't be borderline abusive to any of your customers hands. He continued to file where it was bleeding, get nail polish remover in it, and get upset because I wasn't "relaxed" enough (I wonder why). He blamed me for smudging the paint, though I didn't touch anything on my own and it was plain obvious it was caused by him going too fast. He was loudly sighing and incredibly rude when not one, but TWO of my nails were smudged. Oh no! I wonder how that happened! Don't get me wrong, he does a good job, but not good enough to be treated like that and still expect a good tip. I have been constant business for them, but this is the last time I will be giving them any of my money. If you are assigned the male manager, it's best you ask for someone else, or walk out. He'll try and get a cash tip from you no matter how...
