Okay... I came in here for the first time and it was pretty normal but realized after several visits that may of been the only time it was ever going to be normal.
Second time...I came in the morning for breakfast and the employees seemed over worked and tired because about 4 tables were full of dishes and they didn't get to them in the 30 minutes I sat there. I came back for lunch 4 hours later and not only were the same dishes there but more tables had dirty dishes.
Third time... the cocoa overnight oats I once got (that were good) I got again as a "sorry" because I waited quite awhile for my food. Once I started eating the oats I noticed they weren't the same as they were before. Instead of adding cocoa to the oats overnight they sprinkled chocolate chips on top and called it a day.
Fourth time... I came in for a smoothie for lunch and it was taking quite a while because the employee kept stopping the blender and modifying the drinking ONLY BY ADDING ICE... by the time it was done she handed me my drink (that tasted like chocolate water) and offered to give me the rest that totaled to a whole 'other drink. Context clues will tell you if you only add ingredients proportioned for one drink... mix in a lot of ice and by the time your done have enough for two drinks than what could those drinks possibly taste like (NOTHING). I would of rather had my drink re-made but it was awkward enough because 15minutes prior they refused to serve a group of men drinks to sit-in unless (literally told them) IF YOU CAN FINISH THEM BEFORE WE CLOSE YOU I"LL POUR THEM FOR YOU. The men walked out and the employee told the story up until I left and probably there after.
Fifth time... I cam in to get a smoothie for breakfast hoping a different employee would be there, unfortunately I got the same girl and was hoping she was in a more relaxed mood BUT as before she the blender stopped I saw her about to add ice and I ran to the counter to try and tell her it's okay just blend it more if anything, but I was too late she added the ice and gave it to me. I tried it and asked her to make me another... she rebutted "why" and "if you didn't ask to replace the honey with maple syrup" ...I repeated could you please make it over and not add extra ice and another employee came up and said she adds ice to make the drink refreshing UMMMM........... okay and that will be my last time...
Read moreI was really craving a smoothie. I heard good things about this place so I thought I'd give it a try. To be fair, I stupidly didn't look at the hours and thought they were still open around 3:30 on Friday, May 10 when I walked in, because the door was still open as they were closing. The worker first encountered me as they were closing as I was browsing the menu outside and said "woah you scared me." I felt really badly. I walked in thinking they were open and that same worker said "I'll just shut the door behind you." And then I walk in to look at the menu and the same worker asked "woah, where are you going?" Made me feel very stupid and badly. I then asked if they were still open and that person said "no, we close at 3." I apologized and instead of politely saying it's okay, that worker said to me "ugh it's okay haha." It felt very passive aggressive. I tried to stay patient and being autistic and having anxiety myself, I easily get sensitive internally. The workers could've just told me they were closed when I was looking at the menu and I probably would've come back and ranked this place higher. I don't think I'll be going back after this encounter, which gave me very bougie vibes.
Fortunately, the Celery is across the street and it's open until 7- not to mention service is kinder and more professional. I went there instead and got a...
Read morePoa is great in so many ways but can never get an order right! I made an order to go of two egg and cheese sandwiches, both on croissants, both with avocado, and ONE with bacon. The sandwiches were delivered to me in their own to go boxes and I was stupid and didn't open them until I got home. The sandwiches were on ciabatta rolls one had bacon and one had avocado so I went back to get what I ordered. It was my fault for not confirming my order. When I walked in I explained the sandwiches were not what I ordered and the person there said "Huh, weird". I repeated my order and they quickly got the new sandwiches out to me. This time I looked to make sure they were correct. I saw the croissants and headed to my car. On the way home a squirrel scurried out into the road, stopped, froze and then ran right under my tire. I had run over the poor squirrel! I felt terrible and thought that if I hadn't had to go back to get my sandwiches corrected the squirrel would still be alive. Once I got the sandwiches in the house I opened up the boxes and noticed that both had bacon and only ONE HAD AVOCADO!! Uuugghhh! They got my order wrong again! At that point I just went with it. I didn't want to risk killing another animal just to get my breakfast right. This was not the first time that Poa got my order wrong it was just the worst time Poa got my...
