Rose & Compass — Restaurant in Portland

I decided to dine in, I was told to take a seat anywhere so I sat at a table across from a table with 4 ladies who after finishing their meals talk for a few then order some more and then was ask later if they were ready for the bill. My meal came I was asked if I would like ketchup, hot sauce anything like that, so I asked for hot sauce because my order needed a little kick. 5 minutes into eating a bill was brought to my table, like wait all these thoughts starting running cross my mind. I now felt like I was being rushed and every time I look I had an eye on me as if I dine and dash,ps I am staying at the hotel. I finished my OJ and wanted to order another and some fruits but my bill was already print and waiting to be paid. I finally asked for another OJ and it was added to my bill and it was brought to my table before the OJ, lol.. Another couple walked in and sat down I wanted to test what my mind was already telling me so I waited and watch and they ordered and ate and later had to ask for their bill. I just smiled payed my bill which has been looking at me for the past 45 min and walked back up to my room. Not horrible but just low quality food like a Denny’s or something. Not what I was expecting. The waffle tasted like Krustz mix and the chicken seemed burnt a little. $4 for tea that was just a selection of bagged teas (later in the day I got fresh loose leaf for $3.50 somewhere else) We showed up at 5am, when google says they open and they were still cleaning the restaurant/lobby- vacuuming loudly and then mopping with strong smelling cleaners.Didn’t open till 5:30 and they were still vacuuming and mopping. No direct line to restaurant. Called hotel 3xs. First call took 4 min for hotel operator to pick up call then got transferred to hotel. Phone rang for 2 minutes, when answered was immediately put on hold. Held line for 12 minutes before hanging up and calling back. Second call operator said he’d run over to restaurant and tell them to expect a call. Got transferred and no one ever picked up after ringing for 3 minutes. Called hotel back and no one answered at all - let ring for 4 minutes. Calls were made at ~415P, not quite dinner hour. Will NEVER...
