Service: Customer service is meh here. Giving the benefit of the doubt that there's a language barrier with the worker here, it's hard to understand or communicate with them. I called 20 minutes ahead of my pick-up time for lunch, and when I got there and paid, my food wasn't ready. It wasn't a big deal at first until I ended up waiting for another 15 minutes. It was not busy at all, only one group in a booth table and me. There were even two airplane pilots that came in and were waiting to be seated. No acknowledgment from the workers whatsoever, so they left.
Food: I ordered the teriyaki combo (chicken & beef) that comes with veggies and white rice. The chicken was overcooked and dry, not juicy. The beef wasn't even teriyaki beef at all. It's more like a quick stir fry, spongy, and chewy, no char. Veggies are like any other steam veggies, and rice was on the side, and it's normal white rice. Overall, food quality was, meh, not a lot of favor. With the wait time I got, I was expecting some good tasty quality food. What a letdown. You'll be better off just getting Panda Express.
Note: This was my second time trying this place. The first time, I tried their sushi. For the price, it's not worth it. Better off going somewhere else for the portion and price.
If their quality of food is good and great customer service, then I can understand the pricing and even wait time. So far, it's...
Read moreWanted to find a new sushi joint near us and came across Kobe Sushi on Yelp. It’s right off of 205, near the airport and located in the same plaza, parking area as Dutch, 7/11, and Taco Bell. Decent sized parking area with tight parking spots. We were greeted and seated a few minutes after we arrived. The waiter brought menus and waters right after we were seated. Restaurant was clean and had cute decor. Staff was nice. Very quiet, but they checked on us a few times throughout our meal. We ordered potstickers, 3 different rolls, and the kobe fried rice. The staff didn’t bring small plates or bowls and we had to wait a few minutes to get their attention so we could ask for bowls for the fried rice and sushi. The pot stickers were good. The fried rice was pretty bland. Sushi was good and the prices were pretty comparable to other sushi places in the area. Definitely want to stop in again to try other...
Read moreWe’ve been meaning to try this restaurant which we’ve spotted in several areas in the NW. This location is minutes away from the Portland International Airport and walking distance from our hotel. We walked in and it was very relaxed and comfortable. Staff were super friendly and attentive. It looked somewhat busy but we were seated right away. The atmosphere was calm, with nice music in the background. There’s options to access menu through a bar code but we were provided with a menu as well. We ordered fried rice, fried calamari, shrimp & veggie ramen and some special style sushi. We also tried their Thai tea which was super sweet and a plum saké. Food was incredible. Full of flavors. The sushi was deep fried and surprisingly different but so satisfying. Excellent food and service. We had a great time. We will definitely stop by to try more of their menu items when we’re back in the area....
