Columbia Empire Meat Co — Local services in Portland

Ordered several boxes when Covid hit in March including a steak box, chicken and breakfast. The quality of this meat is better than anything I've ever purchased from the grocery store or Costco. It rivals a butcher. So glad we found this company - they don't advertise.

Be very careful of the dates on the meat. Got a ham that was 16 months past date. Just a weird experience and heard this isn't an isolated experience. Could have been a lot worse if my wife wouldn't have caught it. Not sure what the policy is on frozen ham but I wouldn't expect a quality meat company allowing this to happen. Updated, Columbia Empire Meat reached out to me personally and made this right. They offered refund and were on top of it. They 100% did what any stand up business would do. The box D steak pack I bought was of excellent quality and went down a treat. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Some other reviews pulling down this stores rating talk about some ham that was off that happened one time, but everyone makes mistakes and mistakes get more attention than things done right.
