Absolutely do not recommend. Received tofu soup with shrimp that had not been deveined, whole thing reeked and tasted of ammonia and intense fishy smell. The vegetables (such as the carrots) in the bibimbap were rubbery and tasted unpleasant; Either prepped too far in advance or left in the fridge for a very long time. MSG content on the gochujang sauce was excessive in my opinion but I'm pretty sure that's the whole point of the sauce so no hate there. The beef was lacking flavor and had multiple pieces with gristle- Not what I've come to expect from good Korean restaurants. I have had good experiences with food in Portland ever since I moved here but this is unfortunately the most unpleasant meal I had yet. Preparation was just fine, but the ingredient quality bordered on hazardous! Skip it or order something you already know is good. Definitely avoid the tofu soup on account of the shrimp having the poop veins still in them. I'm sure the BBQ side of things is at least a bit better, but I don't think I'll be coming back...
Read moreI’m Korean American and have ate at many Korean restaurants over the years, and this is hands down the worst. We had the $70 BBQ set and the meat was actually the lowest quality I’ve had in my life. It was tasteless, chewy, and hard to get down. I’m not sure where they got their meat because the cheapest meats you can find after an Hmart or other Asian supermarket is better than the ones we were served. In addition to the low quality ingredients, the dishes (반찬, 순두부) didn’t taste traditional - so much so that my Korean parents suspected that the owners and cooks aren’t Korean (maybe Chinese?). Service was slow as well since we came on a busy Sunday. I could tell that the two waitresses there were working really hard, but they just couldn’t keep up with the volume of people coming in. There were people waiting at the door for extended periods and lots of dirty tables needing to be bussed. We are all really, really upset at wasting $100 at this mess of...
Read moreI've been coming to this restaurant for the past 2-3 years. The food is amazing, i love it, my family loves it. Theres tons of options from the menu. My go-to would be a meal combo included with a meat tray to cook. it's on the expensive side tho. Seafood pancake is a must. Overall, super delicious, filling, with lots of variety, and lots of sides. They used to not charge you on refills for salads and sides, kinda sad about that now. It also depends on who's serving you, because some may be more generous than others. It gets incredibly crowded around dinner time. If you're in there for a long time, the smell can stick onto your clothing, and you'll end up smelling like meat after. It's no biggie. Just come prepared wearing a hat or whatever you're comfortable with. This restaurant is for anyone, including vegetarians. Solid choice for...
