Bun and Pho House — Restaurant in Portland

They made my order incorrectly. I ordered it without allergens I can't have and they added it. It happens, so I called and ask them to remake it as I was coming 20 minutes back to replace something I paid for and can't consume. When I showed up they not only didn't have the order ready, the man that often rings up when you pay for your meal was rude! He didn't apologize, which I didn't expect, but I drove back 20 minutes and it wasn't ready and he was not nice. Unfortunately this means I won't be back and I come here now and then. This won't be my now and then anymore. The last time we were there for dine in they also served me something I specifically asked not to have since I can't. I would say if you're concerned about your food and orders being correct maybe try a few others down the road. I prefer Pho Van they listen to my order I have yet to have any issues with any peanuts and sesame in items when I asked for them not to...

The service was very good, they were quick and filled my glass of water anytime they saw it empty. Felt very open and airy, nice atmosphere to eat in. You could hear dishes and vietnamese chatter, but for an average vietnamese restaurant that is the norm. The place was very clean, and was nice and cool. I ordered the special pho, and the flavors were decent. The broth was quite more on the saltier side, as Pho is usually a more gentle dish on your stomach. The broth felt more heavy like tonkotsu ramen or bun bo hue in a way, not bad but could be improved. The amount of noodles and toppings weren't much compared to broth, as the ratio was slightly skewed towards more broth. Chilli oil came with my order, and was pretty good. Nice heat, and was aromatic. Pho could use less salt, and maybe more water to balance the flavor. 7/10 Food 10/10...

The Pork and Shrip Spring Rolls peanut sauce has changed. I am disappointed. The sauce is now too peanutty. I had to add a lot of houisin sauce to accommodate.

The Pho broth was great as usual but I (used) to come here for the Spring Rolls; that's what made this place special... but it's no longer my favorite 😕

Service is great as usual. Very friendly host.

Becareful parking; there are a lot of older men hanging around the parking lot sipping Starbucks and smoking with every breath. They can be quite annoying as they are everywhere and seems oblivious that they are standing around parking spaces. They are not threatening or aggressive ......
