Las Islas Marias — Restaurant in Portland

Today 5/17 at around 1:30pm visited this place with my mother sister and nieces because we wanted some seafood. From the moment we walked in, we didn’t felt welcomed. There were two employees at front, one male and one female, neither of them said hi or anything to us. We sat our selfs down and the waiter came to our table and without saying a world to us he just basically threw the menus on the table and walked away. 10 min later the waitress came to our table and with a bad attitude she just said “ what are you guys going to order” she seem angry that we was there. We asked her a few questions about the menu and got no help from her at all!! She was very rude and seem so bothered like she didn’t wanted to be there. After we got our food no body ever came to our table to see if we needed anything else! The food was good but the service was so bad that we are never going back!

Management: I hope you see this review because this bad employees are going to kill your business.

Very good food but poor customer service. Servers take your name and number and have you wait outside. Wait time is understandable but not when you’re waiting 10 minutes ready to order and the people seated afterward get asked for their order, questionable. Servers seem to not want to turn tables in a timely manner as I saw two tables not picked up for 15 min. Is this why I waited so long outside waiting for their call? Remember it’s covid season so the restaurant is not packed or busy. We finally get our food but the server leaves right away to ask another table at the other end of the restaurant how they are doing before I could ask her for our tortillas and tostadas that go with our order, another 5 minute wait...

We still tipped over 20% because that’s just our character and it sucks for the cook/chef to loose a fair tip because of...

I had a really bad experience today. My daughter doesn't like the options they had for kids meal. I stopped at Mcdonalds to get her a kids meal. The server came to our table to tells us we couldn't be there if my daughter brought outside food. I understand if it was adult drinks or anything else, but really? My daughter kids meal. My daughter started crying in front of her because we had to leave. They didn't give as options they just said those were the rules and American restaurants will have the same rules what I don't agree.
