The Great American Bagel — Restaurant in Portland

This was one of only one food spots open at the airport. I got in line was told couldn’t order food this early. So just grabbed water. Then after 4:30 they were serving food but the airport was now packed beyond capacity it looked like. I waited in line a long time. I was getting concerned since my flight was going to start boarding at 5:20am. I think it was two workers now earlier it was just one. But i think them being the only real food option besides Starbucks they were getting slammed. The service from the workers at the bagel place were great considering lots of customers hungry in the morning with nothing else open. i don’t blame them they did their best considering the amount of people and orders. But the business price board had two different prices flashing for the food/Sandwiches and also the sandwiches that were supposed to be on a plain bagel there were no plain bagels to order well none in sight. I assumed if i ordered a sunrise sandwich it come on the plain bagel like it was described but they still ask what kind of bagel. So when it was my turn i see no plain bagels i got another option. I get to the counter i asked the gentleman the price as there were two different prices showing. He did confirm it was the higher price and he did take the discount off due to the error in pricing so i was satisfied. Overall the workers at the food places had nothing to do with the experience itself but the food just isn’t good. Bagels were great and the sandwich was very dry and more bagel than egg and meat. But if you are hungry it is an option considering how small...

I ordered on the kiosk and was waiting for my sunrise bagel. Three people behind me ordered and they got their food.

After 20 minutes of waiting, I went up to lady behind the counter. I asked her how long my sunrise bagel was going to take. I shows her my ticket. She said she didn’t have time to deal with me and she left the counter and walked away for like 5 minutes. There were other customers waiting for their food. Then a guy, I think the manger, came up and I told him I was waiting for 20 minutes for my bagel. He started to say a rude comment and I stopped him. I told him that I ordered and paid using the kiosk and put my name in for my order like the kiosk requested. I told him that a lady wanted to pay in cash because the kiosk only takes card but the lady behind the counter refused to ring up the customer. The...

Possibly the worst run airport kiosk by HMS in America (and that’s REALLY saying something given their subpar quality). Waited over 40 minutes to receive just an untoasted bagel with cream cheese with only about 4 other patrons in line. I was asked on 3 different occasions what bagel I wanted to substitute for their plain bagels being out (which sounds silly to even write) because they kept abandoning my order halfway through to fill another one. Both workers were spending the whole time referring to laminated recipe sheets, which suggests a terrible staffing issue that nobody with experience was working. Ultimately, I still got an incorrect order with the wrong type of cream cheese (mind you 1 of only 2 ingredients in my order). This place is just a disaster that should be avoided unless your only other alternative...
