Margaritas Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I was hoping for good service & good food but that was not the case . I & my brother travel the great 48 states and we love to eat at all types of restaurants but our main food is Mexican food. Now that being said ...I have read some of your reviews and also read your responses to them ( good or bad ) and I have to say you have not been listening to customers because I have experienced the very same complaints that you have been getting.....the food we ordered was very bland , the food was not hot at all ...the waitress we had was rude at times and acted like she was in a hurry....took too long to get her attention and to get drink refills and other things we needed... my brother and I eat at several Mexican restaurants and to be honest most of them have been great and the food tasted great with full of flavor and the quality of the food awesome....even the staff at those places were very attentive and friendly.....we did not get that from your restaurant. So here is my remedy for you .....train your staff to be more friendly and attentive ....your food must be made better ( cook the food with heart & soul and oh yeah with flavor ) ...if you the owner is reading this don’t take it as a bad thing ....use this as a tool to better help you and the restaurant..thank you & sincerely...

Super disappointed- I've been celebrating birthdays here for years and was looking forward to kicking off 30 with a frozen margarita and some delicious food. Came with my mom after work- were quickly seated, and then.... ignored. Had a couple menus in front of us, and maybe if we'd had some chips I could have held out longer, but after 25 minutes of not even being acknowledged by a server I gave up. Granted- there was a pretty large turnout so I get that- but no server even gave a wave or said they would be with us. After 20 minutes of waiting idly and watching plenty of servers go past to other tables, I went up front and informed the hostess. I pointed to where me and my mom had been seated and she went into the kitchen- so I went back to my seat- another 5 minutes passes and I full on give up. I dont mind waiting if it's busy- but a server should at least acknowledge us and let us know they see us and will be with us. Silver lining- at least Carreta is open late so I can still get good...

I had the absolute worst experience I have ever had at this margaritas today. My boyfriend, his mother, and myself came in for happy hour lunch. We all ordered a drink and food. When our drinks arrived at the table, it was very obvious that the drinks were made with a small amount of alcohol, if any. When we approached our waitress about this issue, she informed the bartender who just so happened to be the new general manager, Kelly. Kelly very loudly addressed the situation with the waitress so loudly, we could hear her from our table 20 feet away. Kelly then approached our table and was very aggressive and rude. She informed us these drinks were “made to spec” and there was nothing she could do about it. That she was the new GM for a “reason”. She stood at the table for another 5 minutes before stating “I am not going to argue with you” and walked away without our issue even realistically being addressed. Our family has been coming here for 10 years and will not be...
