To start way overpriced! Food was marginal at best. Bacon bombs were under cooked and salty, very strange combination of tastes. Not good. Salmon burger tasted like canned salmon. The roasted tomatoes which came with the salmon burger were off putting and the fries aka: dippers were lukewarm. The Roasted Butternut Squash Salad was disgusting “I didn’t eat all day and I couldn’t finish it “ there was way too much chipotle spice on it and the flavor of the vegetables was lost. Never mind the salad was The server was friendly but overly awkward and made us feel uncomfortable when this person came to the table. We went to the restaurant thinking it was going to be a nice meal , which it wasn’t, and play a little virtual golf, but an hour of golf is $50. Not going to happen! The membership fees are a stretch. I’m not sure what kind of person would actually pay those fees. I don’t think this establishment is going to be around long, so get your curios urges out if you want to check it out. My opinion? Save your money. Portsmouth is full of restaurants with much better service and food. On a positive note, the draft beer was as expected and priced accordingly. Also, the server did comp us the...
Read moreI've always enjoyed Tour located just south of downtown Portsmouth. Plenty of parking with a great bar, good food and a pleasant and respectful atmosphere and staff. I ove the fact that if you want to go in on a rainy day or snow day (or any day) and bring your clubs you can play a round of simulated golf, have a few drinks and lunch and be on your way. Or just come in for the games on the Big Screens and sit at the bar and enjoy the company and food. The Golf and Grill tag they are using now I think better identifies what they are and the menu has changed up as well and now serves (IMO) a more casual menu compared to the original menu (which was excellent by the way) that was more of a fine dining menu (again IMO). A recent favorite for me is the Pan Fried Potstickers or the Giant Wings. It's certainly...
Read moreMy husband and I had lunch at Tour today for the first time! We were cheerfully greeted and seated promptly in a roomy hightop table. Our server Alexis was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was wonderful...great golf memorabilia everywhere, a beautiful bar, fireplace, gorgeous hearth pizza oven and open kitchen. Our food was outstanding! Bacon Bomb Meatballs for an appetizer, followed by General Gau Chicken and a Caprese Pizza! We missed our morning coffee so Alexis brewed us a fresh pot! Every employee, including the Chef, stopped by our table to check on us throughout our meal! This is an extremely impressive team here at Tour! We would rate our meal and experience an A + Check out Tour the next time you want to treat yourself...it is worth the trip to Portsmouth! Plenty of free...
