Wonderful food!!! This is one of the few restaurants where any food genre is created and presented exquisitely. Order German fare and you're in Stuttgart; Italian, Bologna; Greek, Athens; Steak, Kansas City; Seafood, well, coastal New Hampshire, of course. Are you in the mood for quick lunch fare? The fried chicken is unmatched, even by chicken specialty restaurants. ALWAYS inquire about their specials. At this establishment the specials are really special--and delicious and well portioned. There is a well-placed handicap spot. It is on the salt marsh side, so during heavy rains and high tide that area does flood onto the tarmac. In that case, simply park on the street side and wheel to the entrance. You can also take-out without concern that the quality will suffer. I can honestly testify that their take-out is much better than most dine-in restaurants. I hate divulging this extraordinary eatery, but I know you'll hear about it sooner or later. Bon appetit.

Have been here a few times, this time for lunch. Extremely busy for Thursday lunch, our waitress did the best she could keeping up. Front host seemed a little on edge and unfriendly. They have some really awesome homemade dressings, try em with the side salad or fries. Coleslaw was run of the mill, surely needed salt and pepper to jazz it up. Homemade tarter sauce, chunky and a good mix of sweet relish in it. Food came out hot, smidgen of a wait, little gritty on the whole belly clams and some flour chunks in the chowder. Might have been an off day for them, previous meals have always been spot on. A little on the pricey side, to be expected for thr type of dishes served. A huge bar available and what looks to be a decent Bloody Mary based on other tables orders.

I reeeeeeeally wanted to love this local place but aside from some very delicious clam chowder, the rest of the meal was a total disappointment. The Mussels were tiny & super sandy. I ordered the Stuffed Haddock which was supposed to be with a seafood & Ritz cracker stuffing and a lobster cream sauce but was only ritz cracker with a cream sauce. Totally bland, no seasoning whatsoever, with unseasoned mashed potatoes. Totally flavorless & completely disappointing. Our server, Melissa, was an absolute joy, great personality & 100% efficient.

We eat out at restaurants frequently and 9/10 times things aren't up to par (screwed up order, under/overcooked steak even at steakhouses, super load music and silly dance skits)......

However, at Dinnerhorn we we seated right away even on a Saturday in summer, our yummy food came out fast, the atmosphere was chill and service was great. Subtle things were not overlooked- like serving the ladies first and only interrupting when necessary (like to top off drinks and asking once or twice how the food was instead of every 7 minutes while still keeping an eye on you).

I greatly appreciated how Dinnerhorn doesn't pressure the bill too!- they allow the customer to pay discreetly while most other restaurants shove an electronic card reader in your face with a 20% minimum tip option then hover as everyone tries to hide the awkwardness. It made the smiles and service more authentic at Dinnerhorn.

Finally, let's discuss our server. Audrey knows how to do things right!! Servers at other places should shadow her for a day. Keeping in mind how rarely I'm pleased with restaurants and how low I tip, this review should mean a lot and Audrey got a great tip from us. She was EXEMPLARY! When I complimented her personally, she immediately gave all credit to her "solid team". This instinct to see the bigger picture through a wider lens said a lot about her...

We were new to this area but lucked out by choosing this fabulous, warm and cozy establishment for a late night dinner on a cold evening. The hostess was just easy going and friendly while maintaining a professional eye over everything. Our waitress was both knowledgeable and helpful with our menu choices with such a wide selection offered. The decor speaks to an amazing transformation from its early beginnings over the decades to a truly fine dining establishment with a crackling fire and luxurious wood surrounds. Nothing was left to chance and our hostess and server periodically checked to make sure. With more than enough delicious excellently plated food for dinner we decided to take our cheescake dessert with us. Our server took the time to individually package the cheescake, strawberries and whipped cream in separate containers to insure safe transport back to our hotel. Just can't say enough great things. We both love to cook but choose to dine out for the experience as well as the food. Everything here was right on the mark. We fly out tomorrow but will definitely plan a return trip with this restaurant on the must visit list. Thank you all for a...

I took my client out to lunch today. She's a very sweet and confused lil lady she ordered the steak. When it came out, I have never seen a steak look so bad before. I would have been mad too to order a 40 dollar steak. But my client got confused, wanted a cheeseburger. (She literally only took one bite of the steak.) When the waitress came over, the first thing I Said was I'm sorry, we can still pay for the steak but she wanted a cheeseburger instead. She had a look on her face and said the manager would come speak to us. No manager ever did. But we did hear them talking loudly about us and with a nasty attitude someone yelled out "well tell them they're going to have to pay for it regardless". The waitress then came over and told us we would still have to pay for the steak. I politely say ok. Even tho I told her already that I would pay for it. I paid and tipped her well, even tho she really didn't deserve it. So heated I'll never bring any of my clients there again.i might have to post a pic of the steak separately I can't figure out how to attach it here. When the waitress saw me trying to take a picture of the steak she tried to hurry and take it...
