Stopped by this place yesterday 6/27/2021 and it was ok. Not knowing what we wanted to eat we decided to order drinks first then examine menu. Drinks came, but were not very cold. During this time I had to take an important phone call, which is when the waitress showed up and asked my daughter what she wanted to eat. I kindly paused my call and stated that we were good with the drinks, and in an attitude voice she stated that we had to order something because of the way their table are licensed. I abruptly ordered a clam chowder. Which ended up being ok, nothing to right home about. Finally received the bill which came out to 19.58. Paid with a 50.00. First thing she asked was if we needed change. Come on!! YES was the answer!! Waitress brought us our change and stated she did not bring us the $.42 because of a change issue, but also brought back enough change in a way to tried and receive a bigger tip that unfortunately we left because we didn't have a lesser amount to leave in one's. Will...

My wife and I recently dined at Old Ferry Landing in Portsmouth, NH, drawn by its waterfront location and casual ambiance. We started with the Lobster Bisque, which was deliciously creamy and packed with a generous amount of lobster pieces. Service was quick, and our bisque was brought out almost immediately, setting a great tone for the meal.

For the main course, my wife had the Broiled Scallops with roasted potatoes, while I opted for the Fried Scallops with fries. While my wife wasn’t a fan of her scallops—she prefers them charred rather than soft—I appreciated the flavor, but found the texture not to my liking. Having tried fried scallops for the first time, I now know they aren’t for me; I much prefer fried clams.

Despite some mixed feelings about the food, the quick service and the stunning waterfront views made the overall experience enjoyable. The restaurant's prime downtown location is a big plus for anyone looking to enjoy Portsmouth's...

A nice spot to sit seaside for a meal. I hesitate to ever order clam chowder anywhere because of too many disappointing ones. I felt adventurous this time, and true to most of my experiences, the clam chowder here was a major disappointment. It might have even been a special that promised something besides clams (shrimp?) yet there was virtually no seafood in this bowl, just plenty of potato, mush, and a fairly tasteless liquid. I realize that chowder is more of an art than a throw-together recipe (at least for my taste) and perhaps I was just spoiled with a couple of exceptional, flavorful ones over the years. The lobster roll and fries were excellent (I mean, I've never had bad ones anywhere in Maine, even when MacDonald's served them - remember that time?!). One fewer star for a pretty lousy chowder. Otherwise, a...

To all my melaninated followers who are scared to try things in fear of getting treated differently, this place was a gem. No one except patrons ofc was standoffish. Once folk started seeing other ppl speak to me, they would come chime in. It's fun to be the center of attention when it's good vibes. The 🦞, and mussels were delicious. Never had a fresh plate like I did when there. I spent 100 for a 50$ plate of seafood, some lobster bisque and a few drinks. That's not bad in my opinion with the view and hospitality I experienced while there. Pics below!! That boat almost blew up while I was there... joking but it did that with no one on board. Spooky!! Lol I will definitely come back again when I'm driving thru! Thanks for making my first time in the North NE a great one to remember!
