To begin with, going to Burger King when I was young was a treat. I live in Kellogg, which is about 45 miles from the nearest BK. I loved the flame broiled taste of the Whopper and they had lots of good toppings. Now, not so much. I went to the BK outside the Post Falls Wal-Mart for dinner. It was a Monday night at 8:40. Not a busy time. I went inside and placed my order because my experience wirh the drive through was rather lengthy. I think I have discovered why. I ordered 2 Whoppers and a value onion ring to go. The kid took my order and it still took 15 minutes. I watched as they prepared the food. I saw 1 kid on the front counter, another on the drive through, one gathering the orders, two cleaning the store, one dealing with the fryer, and one older woman making the sandwiches one at a time. Fries foods were held in the baskets over the fryers, not in the fry bin. Burgers were already cooked and in a warming drawer. Once the old ones were used, newer ones were pulled out to add to them. Buns had been pretoasted and were on a shelf to be pulled down as needed. The lady preparing the burgers "seasoned" the meat after it had been placed on the bun. While she did wear gloves to handle the food, she used those same gloves to handle all the food - meat, buns, cheese, and vegetables. Like that isn't a recipe for cross contamination. So, only one person was preparing sandwiches one order at a time. I did not see any actual cooking and I had a VERY clear view of the kitchen. Sandwiches were wrapped and placed on another stainless steel counter that did NOT have any heat source. The only thing I received that was proper temperature was the onion rings. The burgers were cold with lukewarm meat that was beyond dry. With this kind of performance, I can see why people give these places a low rating. I used to work at a McDonald's 30 years ago. This was back when food was actually cooked fresh (OK, the meat was frozen, but not cooked, then frozen). Buns were toasted while the meat was cooking. When sandwiches were ready, they were wrapped and placed under a heat slide for a maximum hold of 10 minutes. This was before the common place use of microwaves and holding bins. Both McD's and Burger King utilize these new methods and their quality has greatly suffered as a result. It's a shame because it used to be good. Not healthy, but good. Food was prepared when ordered, fresh, and it was hot when you got it. Now, good...
Read moreMy husband and I received some coupons in the mail and decided to go get some food after a long day, we got up to the speaker and let them know what ones we were intending on using. When we got the the window, the girl at the register grabbed our card and then went to run it. A couple second later an older woman with red hair whipped the window open and angrily went “you need to tell us when you have coupons to use” we both said that we had and she shut the window and started rolling her eyes and glaring at us. She came back the the window, whipped it open again and said “well there’s a four number code you are supposed to give us.” I told her if that’s the case they need to specify. Again, she shut the window and began talking about us and rolling her eyes and glaring and shaking her head. If they didn’t have my husbands card we would have just left. If that is the manager it’s no wonder they are getting one star reviews. As someone who has worked fast food in the past I both am shocked that this woman thought this was the correct way to handle THEIR miscommunication, and I felt really bad for the girl running the register who probably didn’t know exactly what to do when we ordered, and then had to stand there while her coworker yelled at us. I hope they start to read these reviews and I hope that woman loses her job and finds one where talking to humans isn’t in the job...
Read moreI went to burger king just now and it was a terrible experience, My order wasnt made right the first time. I had a double cheeseburger only bbq sauce and it didnt have any so I asked for bbq sauce on it and the cook/grill employee took the burger to fix it for me but the drive thru lady (shift manager) told him no that they cant take it back and to make me a new one. She threw mine away and they made a new one but the new one was a just a cheeseburger, and when I said it was a double cheeseburger she got upset and then told them she needs another patty. so she hands me a cheeseburger and just plain hamberger patty and told me to make it myself. I asked them to do it and said I paid for a double cheeseburger, she got very upset and said she has to throw it away too and make another one. So finally made another one. All while my fries were very cold at this point and I asked her if my fries are cold now can she heat them or make hit ones but halfway thru the sentence she walked away and said she isnt taking anything back and told me tough. She refused to help any longer and yelled at her employees to not talk to me only because i was asking about my french fries. Totally disrespected me and talking to me like im garbage treated me like trash so I left and frusturated and very sad because I was treated so badly. Extremely horrible to me, I...
