My husband and I have been going here weekly for a relaxing, nice, dinner date and it has gradually gone down hill with tonight being the worst! Had to go up to the counter and ask for ice water and coffee. Took awhile to receive our food; which would have been fine if the food was edible. Salad had a bitter taste and was not crisp. Grape tomatoes were mushy, wrinkled and disgusting. The 2 cucumbers, croutons and honey mustard dressing was good. Received my my Super Bird Sandwich (turkey, bacon, swiss, tomato on sourdough bread) and looked AWFUL! It was a heavy, greasy mess that I did not eat. The waitress said, "I've never seen it look like that before". Then why would you serve it???! She offered to get me something else and by that time my stomach was too upset. My husband got an omelette, hash browns, white toast, and side of ham. He ate a partial of it and was getting an upset stomach. Everything was so greasy! Would these 'cooks' serve this food to their own family and friends???! The manager waived our food expenses but we HAD to pay for our drinks which I thought was disrespectful for him to ask, considering our horrible experience. Then he says we are short handed, which would explain the wait time but should not be an excuse for quality! I'm also very concerned of the cleanliness as the garbage can right behind the register; where the manager was speaking to us was over flowing with garbage on the floor as well. The grill behind that; was smoking with no one present. The bathroom was filthy !! The health department needs to visit.
They have nice, new menus that do not represent what they serve!
Please rectify these complaints as I have lived in Post Falls for over 30 years and "The Silver Denny's" has always been our families go to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I had the worst experience here last night (10/11/24). We came in and were seated. There were only four other tables with people who already had their food. The waitress went to get us waters, which took about 10 minutes. We ordered our food and two milk shakes and asked to have them out first, before our food. As we are waiting, another customer is seated. Orders a drink and his food. The waitress comes out to us and says they are having an issue with the blenders. So 15 minutes after we ordered our food and shakes. We finally get the shakes, which were delicious. Meanwhile, she tells us that they are working on our food. The customer who came in after us had already gotten his drink and food. All we ordered was a half order of nachos with no meat, extra queso, and the strawberry crepes breakfast. 35 minutes after ordering, finally, the "nachos" come out. They were disgusting. It was cold. The chips were stale and soggy. The little about of queso was on the bottom of the plate, and the cheese was dry and nasty. The extra queso was served in a bowl, instead of on top of the chips like I asked. Five minutes after that, she comes out with the crepes, saying that there was a mix-up with another table, and that's why it took so long to get the crepes out. Well, the crepes were served with practically frozen strawberries on top. The one piece of bacon and sausage were so tiny. The hashbrowns were cold, and the over easy eggs were practically raw. And all the while, the customer who came in after us. Had gotten all his food, ate, boxed up his leftovers, payed and left. 40 minutes to wait for one of the worst meals. The best part was the shakes. And that was really the only good thing about the...
Read moreThe food is decent. Understaffed caused long wait for service and food. The servers were very friendly. Disappointed in over ripe fruit served, inedible. Burgers always enjoyable.
Update few months later... Not going back any time soon. Still understaffed, the waitress was very friendly and tried to correct issues with the food as best she could. To start our food sat in the window for quite a while, we could see it from our seats. One person had the bourbon skillet and said it was very tasty and she enjoyed it. One person had a bourbon burger, which also turned out well and had good flavor (this is after it had been returned due to an allergen left on the burger, which while ordered had been stated more than once needed not to be on the burger. When remade, it took 15-20 minutes, and they didn't include 2nd patty that was ordered originally). Kids cheese burger and oreo shake were a hit. The brisket melt was a joke. Shows up with 4 charcoal balls thrown between the other toppings and the bun. Disgusting, sent back, after one bite. Remake looked like they sliced up the same charcoal balls and returned them to me on new bread. I know the fries were the same that I had on my other plate since they were even colder. Tried 3 bites and couldn't get my teeth through any of the meat, extremely tough and not a good taste. Sent back. New dish ordered. Took 35 mins before ready, 20 mins in waitress asked if I just wanted it boxed since everyone else was done. I took my food to go. I did enjoy my Bourbon skillet at home, 2 1/2 hours after...
